Packard Bell is making a comeback at IFA 2026, relaunching under the Acer Group with a refreshed identity, a new lifestyle-focused product lineup, and a simple brand philosophy: “Tech it easy.”
The relaunch comes as Packard Bell celebrates its 100th anniversary, with the brand preparing to return to European retail with products designed around everyday computing, entertainment, communication, and lifestyle needs.
Leading the new lineup is the 14.5-inch DotBook laptop, which is scheduled to arrive in European retail starting in Q4 2026.
Packard Bell returns with a simpler approach to tech
Founded in Los Angeles in 1926, Packard Bell originally brought consumer radios to a wider audience before expanding into color television and personal computers.
Now part of the Acer Group, the brand is returning with a focus on making technology more approachable and accessible rather than emphasizing increasingly complex specifications.
Its new “Tech it easy” philosophy centers on products designed for everyday activities such as studying, working, communicating, listening to music, and entertainment.
“Celebrating our 100th anniversary is the right moment to go back to our roots. People need technology that helps them study, work, and stay in touch, all at a fair price,” said Valerie Piau, EMEA vice president at Acer Europe SA.

DotBook leads the new product lineup
The Packard Bell DotBook is positioned as the centerpiece of the brand’s first wave of products.
The 14.5-inch laptop is designed for everyday activities such as browsing, streaming, and general productivity. Its positioning also recalls Packard Bell’s earlier role in bringing affordable personal computers into family homes.
Rather than building the relaunch around a single device category, however, Packard Bell is expanding into several aspects of everyday life with a broader lifestyle lineup.
The first collection includes the DotLoop, a suitcase-style vinyl turntable designed for home listening; DotTune, a speaker focused on everyday music playback; DotLine, a colorful 4G feature phone aimed at families and users seeking a simpler mobile experience; DotLook, audio glasses designed for music and calls without requiring earbuds or a traditional screen; DotShine, a ring light aimed at content creators; DotCombo, a keyboard-and-mouse combination for desktop setups; and DotBass, a set of color-matched headphones.
The lineup gives Packard Bell a much broader lifestyle identity than a traditional PC brand, covering devices for work, communication, entertainment, and content creation.
A new visual identity built around dots
The relaunch also introduces a new visual identity centered on the dot.
Packard Bell’s new emblem uses a constellation of dots that incorporates the letters “P” and “B,” creating an abstract reference to the company’s history.
The dots are intended to represent cells rather than pixels, reinforcing the brand’s focus on technology designed around people and everyday experiences.
Packard Bell is also moving toward a warmer communication style, replacing technical jargon with simpler language and using lifestyle-focused imagery across its marketing.
Four colors — orange, purple, green, and yellow — will connect the brand’s campaigns and products.
Packard Bell expands into connected home products
The company is also opening its product ecosystem to outside partners.
At IFA 2026, Packard Bell introduced a collaboration with startup Steasy, featuring a connected mini-steamer designed around the same everyday-use philosophy.
The partnership represents Packard Bell’s move beyond traditional consumer electronics and into accessible, design-oriented home products.
The first Steasy collaboration product is expected to launch in Europe in Q4 2026, with additional products planned through 2027.’

Acer gives Packard Bell a global foundation
While the relaunch presents Packard Bell as a distinct, lifestyle-oriented brand, its position within the Acer Group provides access to Acer’s existing infrastructure and consumer technology expertise.
Packard Bell will benefit from Acer’s multilingual customer support across 28 countries, EMEA service centers, and established logistics and retail relationships.
The arrangement allows Packard Bell to pursue a more colorful and lifestyle-focused identity while relying on the operational foundation of one of the world’s established PC and consumer technology companies.
Packard Bell’s next chapter begins at 100
Packard Bell’s IFA 2026 relaunch marks a significant change for a brand that has spent a century moving alongside major shifts in consumer technology.
Its return is not simply centered on bringing back a familiar name. The new lineup attempts to reposition Packard Bell around affordable, approachable technology for everyday moments, with the DotBook serving as the entry point into a much larger lifestyle ecosystem.
The first Packard Bell products are set to reach European retail beginning in Q4 2026.
