LG Electronics is using IFA 2026 to showcase its expanded AI Home ecosystem, connecting appliances, home hubs, energy systems, entertainment devices, and services into a more unified smart-home experience.
The showcase in Berlin brings together LG ThinQ ON, LG ThinQ, Fit & Max appliances, LG OLED evo AI TVs, and LG SIGNATURE products, giving visitors a look at how LG sees AI changing everyday home routines.
For Filipino consumers, the presentation also highlights two increasingly relevant areas: energy efficiency and space-saving appliances for compact urban homes.
LG connects appliances through AI Home
At the center of LG’s showcase is the LG ThinQ ON AI home hub and the LG ThinQ platform.
LG is demonstrating how the system can connect appliances and services while using information about users, their routines, and individual spaces to provide more relevant functions.
The company is also debuting ThinQ Claw, a text-based AI agent integrated with ThinQ ON. Through natural-language interactions and contextual understanding, ThinQ Claw can recommend actions based on household conditions and user preferences.
LG is extending the same connected approach beyond residential use with ThinQ Pro, a B2B management solution designed to centrally monitor and control appliances and HVAC systems.
Another demonstration uses Home Energy Management System (HEMS) powered by Homey, the smart-home platform developed by Athom, which LG acquired in 2024. The system coordinates energy generation, storage, and consumption across the home.
LG notes that availability of these AI and energy-management solutions will vary by market.

Fit & Max tackles space constraints
LG’s Fit & Max Solution expands the company’s built-in-style appliance approach beyond refrigerators to washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers.
The system is designed to maximize available space while maintaining larger capacities, with appliances that integrate more seamlessly into kitchens and laundry areas.
The showcase includes new Fit & Max dishwashers capable of completing a full wash-and-dry cycle in as little as one hour.
While the lineup was developed around European homes, the emphasis on maximizing space could also appeal to Filipino households living in condominiums, townhouses, and other compact urban spaces.
LG cautions that product availability and specifications will differ between markets.
Energy efficiency takes center stage
LG is also highlighting its efforts to reduce household energy consumption through technologies such as Dual Inverter Heat Pump and inverter compressor systems.
One of the showcased washing machines uses up to 70% less energy than the minimum requirement for an A rating under specified European testing conditions.
Other displays include high-efficiency refrigerators, dryers, and dishwashers designed to reduce energy consumption while maintaining everyday performance.
For the Philippine market, the broader takeaway is particularly relevant as households look for ways to manage electricity consumption.
However, LG’s European energy-efficiency ratings should not be directly compared with the Philippines’ own energy labels and star-rating system.
LG brings OLED and 1,000Hz gaming to IFA
Beyond appliances, LG is turning its booth into a showcase for its premium entertainment hardware.
The centerpiece is the LG OLED W6, a Wallpaper OLED TV with True Wireless technology, which forms part of a larger media gallery featuring displays of different sizes.
LG is also showcasing its 2026 OLED evo AI and Micro RGB evo AI televisions, powered by the α11 AI Processor 4K Gen3.
The Micro RGB evo AI is designed around a high-purity RGB spectrum display, with TÜV Rheinland certification for color purity.
For gamers, LG is showing an UltraGear monitor capable of supporting FHD resolution at a 1,000Hz refresh rate, which the company describes as the world’s first monitor with this combination.
The entertainment showcase also includes the StanbyME 2 Max and Sound Suite home audio system, alongside LG’s webOS-based content ecosystem.
SIGNATURE adds AI to premium appliances
LG’s ultra-premium LG SIGNATURE lineup gets its own space at the exhibition, combining the brand’s minimalist design approach with AI-powered features.
The SIGNATURE refrigerator uses AI voice recognition to understand conversational commands and recommend refrigeration modes for different types of food.
Meanwhile, the LG SIGNATURE 30-inch wall oven combines an internal AI camera with AI Gourmet to recognize dishes and suggest appropriate cooking modes.
These features demonstrate how LG is moving AI beyond simple voice commands toward systems that can interpret household situations and recommend actions.

LG’s AI Home vision goes beyond individual devices
LG’s IFA 2026 showcase reflects a broader shift in how the company approaches smart-home technology.
Instead of treating AI as a feature attached to individual appliances, LG is presenting a connected ecosystem in which appliances, energy systems, entertainment products, and services can work together.
For Filipino households, the most practical parts of that vision may be the technologies addressing energy consumption, limited living space, and simpler appliance management.
Product availability and features shown at IFA 2026 will vary by market, so the company’s European showcase does not necessarily indicate an immediate Philippine launch.
