The first NBA House in the Philippines brought basketball fans together for two days of basketball, fashion, music, and entertainment. NBA legends Jason Kidd, Lauren Jackson, and Tony Parker also made special appearances. As one of the event partners, vivo used the occasion to put the X300 Ultra’s telephoto system directly in the hands of attendees through the vivo Imaging Challenge.
A telephoto challenge under pressure
Rather than simply photographing a static display, participants had to find specific subjects based on instructions from the host and capture them within a limited amount of time.
The challenge used the vivo X300 Ultra paired with the 400mm Equivalent vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, requiring participants to quickly identify their target, compose the shot, and capture it from where they were standing.
The crowded NBA House environment added another layer of difficulty. With people and activities constantly moving around them, participants had to make quick framing decisions instead of taking their time with each shot.
That turned the camera demonstration into something closer to a game, putting the phone’s extended telephoto capabilities into a real event setting.

Bringing distant subjects closer
The activation also highlighted one of the more practical uses of long-range smartphone photography: capturing subjects that are difficult to approach.
At sporting events, concerts, and other crowded venues, photographers often have limited room to move. A longer telephoto reach can help frame a distant subject without requiring the photographer to physically get closer.
The X300 Ultra and its telephoto extender were designed to demonstrate exactly that scenario at NBA House, where attendees had to work within the space available to them.
The challenge ultimately came down to three decisions: spot the subject, find the frame, and capture the moment.
From camera demo to fan experience
The imaging challenge gave NBA House attendees a more hands-on way to interact with vivo’s camera technology.
Instead of observing a camera demonstration, participants actively used the X300 Ultra while surrounded by the movement and atmosphere of the event. The setup also showed how telephoto photography can be useful beyond conventional portrait or travel shots.
Participants who joined the activity also received exclusive prizes, including a puffer bag, X80 Bluetooth speaker, and vivo Air Buds.

The activation complemented NBA House Philippines’ broader focus on basketball culture, bringing together fans, creators, and personalities across sports and entertainment.
vivo X300 Ultra price and availability in the Philippines
The vivo X300 Ultra is now available in the Philippines for ₱109,999 through vivo concept stores nationwide and the vivo e-store.
The NBA House activation gave vivo a practical setting to demonstrate what that price brings to mobile photography, particularly for users who want to capture distant subjects without giving up the convenience of a smartphone.
For fans sitting far from the action or navigating crowded venues, the experiment offered a simple takeaway: sometimes getting the shot is less about moving closer and more about having enough reach to bring the moment to you.
