EcoFlow has partnered with Philippine non-government organization Angat Buhay to support earthquake relief efforts in Southern Mindanao by donating portable power stations and solar charging systems for affected communities.
The initiative aims to provide reliable electricity to emergency responders and residents following widespread power disruptions caused by severe structural damage in the region.
Portable power for emergency response
As part of its immediate response, EcoFlow is providing a mix of portable power stations and solar charging solutions to help sustain relief operations during the early stages of disaster recovery.
“Access to dependable electricity is critical during disaster response, particularly in the immediate aftermath when communities and emergency teams are operating without essential infrastructure,” said Henry Liu, Regional Director for APAC at EcoFlow.
“Reliable access to electricity can make a meaningful difference for responders and affected communities during emergencies. We hope to strengthen response efforts and help communities recover more quickly.”
Supporting relief teams on the ground
Alongside the equipment donation, EcoFlow conducted operational training for Angat Buhay personnel to ensure the systems can be deployed efficiently in the field.
The training included Raphael Martin Magno, Executive Director of Angat Buhay, and Menard M. Mabutol, Program Manager for Climate Action.
The donated equipment includes both professional-grade and portable solar power solutions designed to support emergency response and early recovery operations.
Powering critical services
According to Angat Buhay, the donated systems will help provide electricity for communication devices, lighting, medical equipment, volunteer coordination centers, community kitchens, and other essential services.
“With EcoFlow’s support, our teams can continue relief operations and begin the transition to rehabilitation and early recovery, helping provide power for communication devices, lighting, medical equipment, and other critical tools while communities rebuild,” said Magno.
Deployment across Southern Mindanao
EcoFlow and Angat Buhay expect the equipment to support communities and relief sites in General Santos City, Sarangani Province, and Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental, where access to electricity remains unstable following the earthquake.
The energy systems are currently undergoing final logistical preparations at Angat Buhay’s office before deployment to affected areas.
