Gorr the God Butcher is bringing his god-slaying crusade to Marvel Rivals as Season 10: Butcher’s Blasphemy arrives on September 11.
The new season adds Gorr as a playable Duelist while setting the stage for the God Quarry map, new events, returning rewards, and additional content arriving throughout the season.
Gorr brings the Necrosword to Marvel Rivals
Gorr joins the Marvel Rivals roster as a Duelist, wielding the All-Black the Necrosword and an arsenal built around his ability to turn fallen enemies into weapons of destruction.
His All-Black can change forms depending on the situation, while Gorr can absorb defeated enemies and transform them into Black Berserkers.
The symbiote also allows Gorr to move across the battlefield and attack from unexpected angles, giving him additional ways to pressure opponents.
His Ultimate transforms the All-Black into the Annihilablade, commanding active Black Berserkers to unleash a coordinated attack on enemies.
God Quarry arrives later in Season 10
The season’s new map, God Quarry, will arrive with the September 24 update as a Domination map.
The location ties directly into Gorr’s storyline, with the God Butcher targeting the Faith-Harvesting Engine and seeking the power of the God Tempest imprisoned within Thor’s hammer.
The story sets up Gorr’s attempt to unleash his devastating “Godbomb” while continuing Marvel Rivals’ broader Chronoverse narrative.
Jeff gets the spotlight with new events
The season also brings new content centered on Jeff the Land Shark.
Beginning with the September 18 update, players can participate in Jeff’s Dream Eater and Jeff’s Superstar Search, with both events offering matching hero costumes and other cosmetic rewards.
New Pajama Party costumes will also become available when Season 10 launches on September 11.
Following the September 24 update, the Galacta’s Gift event will return, giving players another opportunity to earn a Costume Coin. The Costume Coin Exchange Store will also receive a new selection of rewards.
College perks and Path to Doomsday continue
Season 10 will introduce another rotation of College Student Perks. Verified college students can use their university email to access a new selection containing 10 costumes and MVP rewards.
Meanwhile, the Path to Doomsday storyline continues during the second half of the season with Phase 3: Avengers Infinity War and Phase 4: Avengers Endgame.
The Season 10.5 content will introduce two new game modes as the storyline progresses.
Marvel Rivals IGNITE returns
Competitive play will also continue alongside the new season.
Stage 2 of the Marvel Rivals IGNITE Series begins September 17, bringing together 12 teams from four major global regions.
The teams will compete for a chance to advance to the year-end Global Finals, with additional tournament details set to be announced through Marvel Rivals’ official channels.
With Gorr joining the roster on September 11, Season 10 gives Marvel Rivals players a new Duelist to master while gradually expanding its map, event, and competitive content throughout the season.
