Sony to Bring True RGB TV Technology to the Philippines With Next-Gen BRAVIA Lineup

Sony is set to introduce its True RGB television technology to the Philippine market, bringing a new generation of BRAVIA TVs designed to deliver higher color accuracy, improved brightness, and a more immersive viewing experience.

The company says its latest display technology raises the standard for picture quality by combining independently controlled red, green, and blue light sources to produce more lifelike images across a variety of viewing environments.

Unlike conventional display technologies, Sony’s True RGB uses individually controlled red, green, and blue (RGB) LEDs, allowing the television to reproduce purer colors while achieving the largest color volume in Sony’s home TV lineup to date.

According to Sony, the technology produces images that appear more natural and dimensional while maintaining accurate colors in both brightly lit rooms and darker, cinematic scenes.

At the core of True RGB is Sony’s proprietary optical structure, paired with precision backlight control and a newly developed RGB backlight driver. The system is designed to preserve color accuracy, contrast, and creator-intended image details while providing consistent picture quality across wider viewing angles.

Sony says the technology combines the strengths of Mini LED and OLED displays with individually controlled RGB LEDs to deliver brighter images without sacrificing color fidelity.

True RGB builds on more than 20 years of Sony’s display development. The technology traces its roots to the RGB light source system introduced with the QUALIA 005 in 2004 and later evolved through the company’s Backlight Master Drive technology introduced in 2016.

By integrating these advancements into its latest BRAVIA televisions, Sony aims to deliver a viewing experience defined by accurate colors, higher brightness, and improved overall picture performance.

Sony confirmed that new BRAVIA TVs powered by True RGB technology will arrive in the Philippines soon. Additional details are available through Sony’s official BRAVIA website.
