SIBOL’s Fusingan cops bronze in SNC PUBG Mobile event

Francis “RANGE” Fusingan brought home a bronze medal for the Philippines in the PUBG Mobile event of the SEA Esports Nations Cup on Saturday.

Fusingan finished the two-round solo event with 29 points, trailing only Indonesia’s Alan “Star” Kumaseh and Fazriel “Yummy” Aditya, who posted 42 and 37 points, respectively.

The Filipino representative started strong, securing a game-high five kills in the opening map. However, he fell in the final skirmish, with Aditya eliminating him in the closing moments.

Meanwhile, Fusingan’s teammate Abdul “Monboy” Barode struggled in the first round. The other SIBOL representative was among the earliest players eliminated and failed to score points.

Barode bounced back in the second map, finishing second in Livik alongside two eliminations. However, he once again fell to an Indonesian player in the closing moments, as Kumaseh denied him the WWCD.

Barode ultimately finished fifth overall with 18 points, while Laos’ “Honda” placed fourth with 21.

SIBOL, however, ended the duo event without a medal after placing seventh overall. The Philippines finished eighth in Nusa during Game 1 before improving to fourth in Livik in Game 2.

Meanwhile, they have one more event in hopes to get a medal, with the CrossFire: Legends event still underway.
