Arknights: Endfield Version 1.1 Launches March 12 with New Operators, Hydro System

Arknights: Endfield will roll out its first major content expansion, Version 1.1 titled Old Deep Water Dies, by Rising Tide It is Denied, on March 12 as a free update.

Publisher GRYPHLINE confirmed the patch adds new Operators, story content, base-building systems, and quality-of-life improvements following what it described as a stronger-than-expected global launch in January.

Two New 6-Star Operators Headline the Patch

Version 1.1 introduces two 6-star Operators that reshape team-building options:

  • Tangtang (Caster) – Specializes in AoE Cryo damage and crowd control. Her Ultimate immobilizes enemies, including bosses, creating controlled burst windows.
  • Rossi (Guard) – Converts Arts Infliction into Vulnerability, effectively enabling Physical-focused squads to break defenses more efficiently.

The additions expand endgame composition diversity, particularly in high-difficulty encounters where damage windows and debuff layering matter most.

Hydro-Industrialization Expands Base Systems

The update introduces a new hydro-industrialization system, adding the Hydro Mining Rig, which gathers Cuprium using water flow instead of electricity.

New Conduits and Water Treatment Units extend logistics and resource management depth, while the Forge placement cap increases to four — raising the production ceiling for late-game progression.

These systems reinforce Endfield’s hybrid design that blends RPG combat with industrial base-building.

New Story Area: Qingbo Stockade

Players will explore the Qingbo Stockade in Wuling, advancing the Talos-II storyline. The arc centers on rising tensions tied to Nefarith and Ardashir, setting up larger conflicts teased for Version 1.2.

The next update is expected to introduce two additional maps and expand fluid-based production systems within the AIC Factory.

Rewards, Pulls, and Progression Changes

Version 1.1 expands player rewards beyond the initial 135 free pulls offered at launch. Additions include:

  • 10 Chartered Headhunting Permits via new beginner milestones
  • Two 7-day login campaigns
  • Expanded AIC Quota rewards for acquiring 4–6 star Operators
  • A revamped Protocol Pass with recurring Headhunting permits

The patch also introduces the Valley Multi-Line Engraving Kit, allowing customized triple-stat Essences — reducing RNG variance in endgame gear optimization.

Combat and Controller Improvements

GRYPHLINE is addressing launch feedback with broad UI and control adjustments. Operators now enter Protocol Spaces with full HP and Ultimate Energy, and enemy telegraphs have been refined for visibility.

Controller players gain improved facility movement controls and map access during traversal, tightening exploration flow in vertical zones like Qingbo Stockade.
