The last time they met, ONIC Philippines stunned Team Falcons PH with a dominant 3-0 sweep in the upper bracket semifinals.
This time, the Green Falcons got their revenge—and booked their ticket to Paris in the process.
Team Falcons PH returned to the MPL Philippines Season 17 Grand Finals after defeating ONIC Philippines, 4-2, on Saturday at the San Juan Arena.
The Francis “Ducky” Glindro-led squad recovered from a 1-2 series deficit, winning the final three games of the series, including the last two that stretched beyond the 20-minute mark.
Frince “SuperFrince” Ramirez spearheaded ONIC’s Game 1 victory. The veteran midlaner participated in all 17 of the team’s kills, finishing with nine kills and eight assists on Zhuxin as the Super Family controlled the game from start to finish.
David “Flap” Canon answered for the Falcons in Game 2, utilizing a pocket Esmeralda pick to absorb damage and disrupt ONIC’s team fights. The EXP laner posted three kills and four assists as Falcons secured every major objective while surrendering only two turrets.
ONIC regained the lead in Game 3 with an even more convincing performance, dismantling Falcons in just 10 minutes with a 17-2 kill score. Clayton “Savero” Kuswanto starred on Claude with five kills and nine assists as the Super Family gave Falcons no room to breathe.

From that point on, however, the series belonged to Team Falcons.
The Green Falcons equalized in Game 4 after 14 minutes behind Marco “SuperMarco” Requitiano’s 6/1/5 Claude performance. Flap once again shined on Esmeralda as Falcons denied ONIC every Turtle and Lord opportunity throughout the game.
Salic “Hadji” Imam then stepped up in Game 5 to give Falcons their first lead of the series. His Yve finished with two kills and eight assists in a 20-minute victory, while Falcons’ layered team-fight execution proved too much for ONIC to handle during the closing stages.
Game 6 turned into a tense chess match, with ONIC keeping the game within reach well into the late stages. However, with their base exposed, Savero’s Claude was forced to clear waves away from the Lord pit during a crucial moment.
Sensing the opportunity, SuperMarco’s Moskov joined the fight as Falcons systematically took down ONIC’s remaining members. Left alone to defend, Savero could only watch as the Green Falcons completed the comeback and sealed the series.
With the victory, second-seeded Team Falcons PH secured the Philippines’ second ticket to Paris and advanced to the MPL Philippines Season 17 Grand Finals.
The win also sets up a dream championship showdown against top-seeded Team Liquid PH, marking the first time in four seasons that the cores of both powerhouse lineups will meet on the MPL PH Grand Finals stage.
