Kagurabachi anime reveals Hinao, Char character trailers ahead of 2027 debut

The upcoming Kagurabachi anime has introduced two more of its key characters, with new trailers for Hinao and Char Kyonagi giving fans a closer look at their roles ahead of the series’ April 2027 premiere on Crunchyroll.

Miku Ito will voice Hinao, while Miyari Nemoto will portray Char Kyonagi in the anime adaptation of Takeru Hokazono’s manga.

Kagurabachi introduces Hinao and Char

Hinao works at Cafe Haru Haru, a location that serves as a connection point between the sorcerers and Japan’s underworld. Her character trailer offers a first look at how she will fit into the story surrounding protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira.

Char, meanwhile, is a cheerful and courageous young girl whose mysterious circumstances place her in danger. Her connection to Chihiro becomes an important part of the early story as he attempts to protect her from those pursuing her.

The two characters join the growing cast of the highly anticipated adaptation as the production moves closer to its 2027 debut.

Kagurabachi anime set for April 2027

Based on Hokazono’s Kagurabachi manga, the anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2027 and will stream worldwide on Crunchyroll, excluding Japan, Mainland China, North Korea, and South Korea. The manga has surpassed 4 million copies in circulation, including digital editions, giving the anime adaptation a substantial readership to build on when it arrives.

The series will be directed by Tetsuya Takeuchi, with Keigo Sasaki handling character designs. Animation production comes from Cypic, whose previous work includes Umamusume: Cinderella Gray and The Summer Hikaru Died.

The latest character trailers expand the promotional campaign for Kagurabachi as the production prepares for its international rollout.

Further casting announcements and production details are expected to be revealed at a later date. For now, the Hinao and Char trailers provide another look at the characters who will help bring Hokazono’s rapidly growing manga world to the screen.
