Most smartphone users only see a device once it reaches stores. Actress and vivo Philippines ambassador Anne Curtis recently had the opportunity to see what happens long before that, touring vivo Global Headquarters in Dongguan, China to learn how the vivo X300 Ultra is built.
The visit offered a behind-the-scenes look at vivo’s manufacturing process, quality testing, and imaging technologies that power its latest flagship smartphone.
Anne Curtis explores vivo’s flagship production facility
During the tour, Anne visited vivo’s production lines, where automated systems and engineers work together to assemble smartphones with high precision.
She observed robotic manufacturing equipment installing components while technicians monitored each stage of production to ensure every device met the company’s quality standards.
According to vivo, its manufacturing facilities can produce a new smartphone every 11.4 seconds, highlighting the scale and efficiency of its global production operations.

Every vivo X300 Ultra undergoes extensive testing
Beyond assembly, Anne also learned about the quality assurance process behind the vivo X300 Ultra.
According to vivo, every flagship device undergoes multiple rounds of testing before reaching consumers to evaluate overall performance, structural durability, camera and imaging quality, and day-to-day reliability.
The company says these evaluations are designed to ensure the smartphone meets the quality standards expected of its flagship X Series lineup before it reaches the market.
ZEISS partnership powers the X300 Ultra’s camera system
One of the highlights of the visit focused on the smartphone’s imaging technology. Anne learned more about vivo’s collaboration with ZEISS, the German optics company known for more than 180 years of experience in precision lenses and imaging systems.
The partnership combines ZEISS optical expertise with vivo’s smartphone engineering to improve mobile photography across portraits, landscapes, and everyday images.
Rather than simply adding higher-resolution sensors, vivo says the collaboration aims to deliver more consistent image quality through advancements in optics and imaging software.

For Anne, the visit provided a different perspective on the work involved in developing a flagship smartphone.
From automated manufacturing and quality testing to the engineering behind its camera system, the experience showcased the processes that take place before the vivo X300 Ultra reaches consumers.
