TCL Highlights Technology’s Role as Milano Cortina 2026 Conclude

TCL marked the closing of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina 2026, highlighting how its technology supported athletes, broadcasters, and global audiences throughout the international sporting event.

As a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, TCL provided display technologies and smart devices designed to enhance both the viewing experience and athlete connectivity during the Games.

Supporting Global Broadcast and Athlete Experiences

At the International Broadcast Center, the hub for global Olympic coverage, TCL installed more than 330 television screens and 300 commercial display units. These systems helped broadcasters and media professionals monitor events in high detail as competitions unfolded across multiple venues.

Beyond broadcast operations, TCL technology also supported athletes living in the Olympic Villages. Smart home appliances were deployed to improve comfort during the Games, while specialized display systems enabled the “Athlete Moment,” allowing competitors to connect with friends and family after their events.

According to the company, these connections resulted in more than 350 real-time emotional interactions between athletes and loved ones during the competition.

Celebrating “It’s Your Greatness”

TCL’s presence at the Games was also tied to its global campaign, “It’s Your Greatness,” which emphasizes the idea that inspiration extends beyond medal podiums.

Li Dongsheng, founder and chairman of TCL, said the partnership reflects the company’s long-standing mission to develop technology that improves everyday life. Since its founding in 1981, TCL has focused on innovations designed to support human experiences, including large-scale global events like the Olympics.

Interactive Experiences for Fans in Milan

In addition to supporting the Games behind the scenes, TCL also created public experiences in Milan for visitors during the Olympic season.

One of the main attractions was the “Wishes for Greatness” Winter Wonderland in Piazza del Duomo, where themed installations surrounded the 29-meter Milano Cortina Olympic tree. The space featured sport-themed igloos and festive displays designed to celebrate the Winter Games.

Another major installation, TCL Edelweiss Land, was set up in Piazza Duca d’Aosta, near Milan’s central train station. The 500-square-meter exhibition attracted more than 91,000 visitors and showcased TCL’s latest technologies, including SQD Mini-LED televisions and TCL RayNeo AR Smart Glasses.

The company also collaborated with artists to create a large mural in downtown Milan celebrating the cultural influence of the Olympic Games.

Looking Ahead to the Paralympic Winter Games

The company looked ahead at the 2026 Winter Paralympics from March 6 to 15. The competition will feature six winter sports, including para alpine skiing, para biathlon, para cross-country skiing, para ice hockey, and para snowboarding.

TCL will support athletes including Brazilian wheelchair racer and skier Aline Rocha and para cross-country skier Cristian Ribera, both members of Team TCL.

Global sporting events increasingly rely on advanced technology to deliver real-time coverage, athlete engagement, and immersive fan experiences. Large-scale display systems, smart devices, and connected platforms help bring competitions closer to audiences worldwide.
