Epson Launches SureColor V4000 A1+ UV Flatbed Printer for Signage and Custom Printing Businesses

Epson has expanded its professional printing portfolio with the launch of the SureColor V4000, a compact A1+ UV flatbed printer designed for businesses producing customized merchandise, signage, and photo-quality graphics.

Announced on July 29, the SureColor V4000 joins Epson’s SureColor V-Series as a commercial UV printing solution that combines high-quality output, productivity, and a space-efficient footprint. The printer targets businesses looking to bring more production in-house while reducing dependence on outsourcing.

SureColor V4000 supports A1+ printing and thicker media

The Epson SureColor V4000 is designed for businesses handling larger print formats and a wider variety of substrates.

According to Epson, the printer features an A1+ print area, supports media up to 20 centimeters thick, enables UV flatbed printing on rigid materials, and allows businesses to produce signage and customized products in-house.

The SureColor V4000 can be used for applications such as signage, display graphics, phone cases, notebooks, and other rigid media. Epson added that its larger print area enables users to produce multiple items simultaneously, helping improve workflow efficiency while reducing production steps.

10-color UltraChrome UV ink expands creative possibilities

The Epson SureColor V4000 features Epson’s 10-color UltraChrome UV ink set, which includes Grey, Red, White, and Varnish inks.

They stated that the expanded color configuration delivers a wider color gamut, smoother color gradation, reduced graininess, and sharper reproduction of fine lines and small text.

The addition of white and varnish inks also enables specialty print applications, including textured finishes, gloss effects, and layered printing across a variety of rigid substrates.

Compact design focuses on productivity and ease of use

Following the launch of the Epson SureColor V7000, the Epson SureColor V4000 serves as Epson’s next commercial UV flatbed solution while offering a smaller footprint for businesses with limited production space.

The printer delivers print speeds of up to 4.6 square meters per hour, helping businesses accommodate short-run jobs and customized orders without significantly increasing turnaround times.

To simplify day-to-day operation, the SureColor V4000 features a front-access maintenance layout, automatic media height adjustment, simplified consumable replacement, and faster setup across different media thicknesses. Epson said these workflow-focused features are designed to reduce manual intervention and minimize production downtime.

Epson targets growing demand for customized printing

The launch comes as demand for personalized products, short-run production, and custom signage continues to grow across Southeast Asia.

According to Noelle Gonzalez, Head of Marketing and Customer Service at Epson Philippines Corporation, the SureColor V4000 expands Epson’s UV printing lineup for businesses seeking professional flatbed capabilities without requiring the larger footprint of industrial systems.

By offering a balance of image quality, productivity, and compact design, Epson positions the SureColor V4000 as an option for print service providers, signage companies, and businesses looking to scale in-house UV printing while maximizing available workspace.
