San Beda University Expands Digital Campus Initiative Through PLDT Enterprise Partnership

As San Beda University celebrates its 125th anniversary, the institution is accelerating its digital transformation through an expanded partnership with PLDT Enterprise, introducing new connectivity, smart campus technologies, and cloud-based platforms across its campuses.

The collaboration supports the university’s long-term goal of becoming one of the Philippines’ leading digital campuses by improving how students, faculty, and staff access learning resources, campus services, and digital infrastructure.

PLDT Enterprise strengthens connectivity across San Beda campuses

The partnership covers San Beda University’s campuses in Mendiola, Manila; Taytay, Rizal; and Alabang, with PLDT Enterprise upgrading the university’s digital infrastructure through enterprise-grade connectivity and network services.

According to PLDT Enterprise, the initiative includes dedicated internet connectivity, expanded campus-wide Wi-Fi coverage, improved network infrastructure, and enhanced access to digital learning resources.

The upgrades are intended to provide a more reliable online experience for students and faculty while supporting the university’s increasing reliance on digital platforms for teaching and day-to-day campus operations.

University modernizes online services with Salesforce Experience Cloud

Beyond connectivity, San Beda University is updating its digital platforms to improve access to campus information and services.

As part of the initiative, the university is rebuilding its website using Salesforce Experience Cloud, creating a more modern platform for students, faculty, alumni, and other stakeholders.

The updated digital platform is expected to streamline access to university resources while supporting a more connected academic community.

Smart campus technologies improve security and campus operations

The digital transformation also includes the rollout of smart campus technologies designed to improve campus management and security.

Among the new systems is a facial recognition access platform, which has already been deployed at the San Beda University Mendiola campus and is scheduled to expand to the Taytay campus later this year.

According to the university and PLDT Enterprise, these technologies, combined with upgraded network infrastructure, are expected to enhance campus security, streamline access control, improve operational efficiency, and provide a better overall experience for students and faculty.

Supporting San Beda’s long-term digital transformation

According to PLDT Enterprise, the partnership focuses not only on deploying technology but also on building digital infrastructure that can adapt to the university’s future needs.

The collaboration combines connectivity, cloud platforms, network services, and smart campus solutions into a unified ecosystem that supports teaching, learning, communication, and campus management.

As educational institutions continue to expand digital learning environments, investments in scalable connectivity and integrated campus technologies have become increasingly important in supporting both hybrid education and administrative operations.

With the latest upgrades, San Beda University continues its push toward a more connected and future-ready campus while marking 125 years of academic service in the Philippines.
