HP IDEA Expands to Pasig City, Bringing Digital Innovation, AI Learning to More Educators

HP Philippines has launched the second cohort of the HP Innovation and Digital Education Academy (HP IDEA) in Pasig City, expanding its efforts to help educators adopt digital learning tools, innovation practices, and emerging technologies in the classroom.

Implemented in partnership with the Department of Education and the Pasig City Government, the program aims to equip teachers and school leaders with the skills needed to navigate an increasingly digital education landscape while developing solutions to real-world classroom challenges.

HP IDEA focuses on future-ready education

HP IDEA forms part of the company’s broader social impact strategy centered on digital inclusion, educational access, and technology-enabled learning.

The year-long program provides educators with training in digital pedagogy and classroom innovation, collaborative problem-solving frameworks, responsible AI integration, digital learning strategies, and school-based innovation project development.

Rather than focusing solely on technology adoption, the initiative encourages participants to identify challenges within their schools and design practical solutions that can improve learning outcomes.

According to HP Philippines, the goal is to help educators build confidence in using technology while creating more adaptive and inclusive learning environments.

Pasig City continues push for digital learning

The launch highlights Pasig City’s ongoing efforts to strengthen digital education initiatives across its public schools.

Representatives from the city government, DepEd, and education stakeholders attended the event, reflecting the growing role of partnerships between the public and private sectors in modernizing education.

The initiative aligns with broader efforts across the Philippines to integrate digital tools into teaching and learning, particularly as schools continue to explore hybrid and technology-assisted educational models.

Schools will develop solutions to classroom challenges

One of HP IDEA’s distinguishing features is its project-based approach.

Throughout the program, participating schools will collaborate on innovation projects targeting specific challenges in their learning environments. Areas of focus may include literacy improvement, student engagement, collaborative learning, digital learning implementation, and classroom innovation.

Participants will also receive mentorship, attend innovation-focused workshops and conferences, and gain access to HP IDEA’s international educator community.

This approach allows schools to tailor solutions to their own needs rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all model, helping educators develop initiatives that directly address the realities of their respective learning environments.

Global education program reaches new milestones

Since its launch, HP IDEA has expanded into 35 countries and has engaged more than 70,000 educators worldwide. The company says the program has reached over 1.5 million students through projects and initiatives developed by participating schools.

The expansion in Pasig represents the latest phase of HP’s effort to strengthen digital literacy and innovation capabilities among educators in the Philippines, particularly as AI and other emerging technologies continue to influence how teaching and learning are delivered.

As schools face increasing pressure to prepare students for a technology-driven future, programs like HP IDEA are shifting the conversation beyond device access toward educator readiness and innovation capacity.

By focusing on digital skills, AI literacy, collaboration, and locally developed solutions, HP IDEA seeks to help schools build more resilient and adaptable learning environments while ensuring educators remain central to the digital transformation of education.
