Mobile gaming continues to push smartphones harder than ever, especially during extended competitive sessions where overheating can lead to frame drops, throttling, and inconsistent performance. With the upcoming Infinix GT 50 Pro, Infinix is positioning its latest gaming phone as a solution built specifically for sustained esports-level gameplay.
Set to officially launch on June 10, the Infinix GT 50 Pro introduces a new cooling architecture, upgraded thermal design, and hardware optimized for stable high-frame-rate gaming.
Infinix GT 50 Pro introduces HydroFlow Liquid Cooling system
The headline feature of the Infinix GT 50 Pro is its new HydroFlow Liquid Cooling system, which uses active liquid cooling instead of relying purely on traditional passive heat dissipation.
The system integrates dual piezoelectric ceramic pumps that circulate coolant through laser-engraved internal channels designed to pull heat away from key components such as the processor and battery. According to Infinix, the design helps reduce thermal buildup directly at the source, improving sustained gaming performance during long sessions.
Unlike standard smartphone cooling systems that depend heavily on graphite sheets and vapor chambers alone, the Infinix GT 50 Pro adds active thermal management to maintain stable temperatures under heavier workloads.
The cooling system offers three operating modes. Smart Mode for automatic thermal adjustments, Normal Mode for standard everyday use, and Rapid Mode for heavier gaming and demanding workloads.
Infinix said the setup helps maintain native 144FPS gaming performance while minimizing frame drops and stuttering during competitive gameplay.
Largest vapor chamber in Infinix GT lineup
Alongside the active cooling system, the Infinix GT 50 Pro from Infinix also features what the brand describes as the largest 3D vapor chamber used in the GT series so far.
The device includes a 7,700mm² 3D vapor chamber and a 32,700mm² total cooling area, with cooling coverage reportedly 63.5% larger than the previous generation.
The expanded cooling structure works alongside large graphite layers to spread heat more efficiently across the device, helping sustain performance during long gaming sessions, livestreaming, or multitasking.
Thermal management has become increasingly important in gaming smartphones as newer mobile chipsets deliver desktop-level performance that can quickly generate excess heat under load.

GT Magcharge Cooler 2.0 adds external cooling and bypass charging
For users looking for additional thermal control, the GT 50 Pro also supports the optional GT Magcharge Cooler 2.0 accessory.
The external attachment combines supplemental cooling with wireless bypass charging technology, which routes power directly to the phone’s system instead of continuously charging the battery during gameplay.
Bypass charging has become a growing feature among gaming smartphones because it helps reduce heat generation while preserving long-term battery health during extended sessions.
Together, the phone and accessory create a dual-cooling setup aimed at maintaining consistent performance during competitive matches.
Built with esports competition in mind
Infinix is also positioning the GT 50 Pro heavily around esports, particularly in the Philippine mobile gaming scene.
The company confirmed that the device serves as the official gaming phone of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines, highlighting its focus on stable frame rates, thermal reliability, and long-session gaming performance.
Gaming phones continue to evolve beyond raw benchmark numbers, with brands now emphasizing sustained performance, heat management, and player comfort as key differentiators in competitive mobile gaming.
