Food has always been one of Southeast Asia’s strongest cultural touchstones, connecting communities through shared traditions and everyday experiences. Honor of Kings (HoK) is bringing those familiar flavors into the battlefield with its latest cosmetic collection.
Running from July 2 to September 9, the new Cosmic Cravings skin series transforms iconic Southeast Asian dishes into futuristic hero skins, blending regional culinary heritage with sci-fi-inspired visuals.
Halo-Halo, Nasi Kuning, and Kedondong Asam Boi inspire new skins
The collection introduces three hero skins, each inspired by a well-known Southeast Asian dish or snack.
Erin – Cosmic Cravings: Zest draws inspiration from the Philippines’ iconic Halo-halo, incorporating the dessert’s vibrant colors and layered textures into the marksman’s design.
Meanwhile, Dun – Cosmic Cravings: Sear pays tribute to Nasi kuning, the turmeric rice dish widely enjoyed across Indonesia and neighboring Southeast Asian countries, featuring golden-themed visuals and effects.
Completing the lineup is Alessio – Cosmic Cravings: Fizz, inspired by Kedondong Asam Boi, a popular Malaysian sweet-and-sour fruit snack and beverage flavor, with playful visual effects that reflect its refreshing taste.
According to HoK, the event builds around a broader theme of celebrating individuality, cultural pride, and the freedom to embrace one’s chosen way of life.
By drawing inspiration from recognizable regional dishes, the collection aims to highlight the shared experiences that unite Southeast Asian communities despite their cultural diversity.
How to unlock the skins
Players can obtain the new skins through various in-game activities during the event period.
Alessio – Cosmic Cravings: Fizz can be unlocked for free by logging in daily, completing designated event missions, and collecting enough event points.
The remaining skins are available through the event’s Wish Event. Dun – Cosmic Cravings: Sear is guaranteed after 20 tile flips, while Erin – Cosmic Cravings: Zest is guaranteed after 30 tile flips.
Both Dun’s and Erin’s skins are tradable and can be listed on the in-game marketplace. Players can also earn Wish Tokens through daily missions, with up to 12 free wishes available throughout the event.
Themed effects and interactive activities
Beyond the hero skins, the event introduces several themed features, including dish-inspired recall effects, hero-specific visual effects based on each culinary inspiration, and a City Pop-inspired soundtrack.
The event also includes a Cosmic Cravings H5 experience featuring the “Soul Taste Test,” where players can discover their Food Persona and collect exclusive journey badges alongside Dun, Erin, and Alessio.
By combining regional cuisine with futuristic storytelling, HoK’s Cosmic Cravings event celebrates Southeast Asia’s rich food culture while expanding the game’s growing lineup of themed cosmetic collections.
