Apple has unveiled the MacBook Neo, a new entry-level laptop designed to bring the Mac experience to more users at a lower price point.
Announced from Cupertino, the MacBook Neo combines Apple’s aluminum laptop design, a 13-inch Liquid Retina display, and Apple silicon performance in a compact device. The laptop starts at ₱39,990, with an education price of ₱33,990, making it the most affordable MacBook released by Apple.
The device runs on the company’s latest mobile chip and ships with macOS Tahoe, supporting Apple’s growing set of AI-powered features.
A18 Pro chip powers everyday performance and AI tasks
At the center of the MacBook Neo is the Apple A18 Pro processor, designed to handle everyday computing tasks such as web browsing, document creation, streaming, and photo editing.
According to Apple, the system delivers up to 50 percent faster performance for common tasks compared with leading PCs powered by Intel Core Ultra 5 processors. The laptop also offers up to three times faster performance for on-device AI workloads, such as applying image effects or processing generative AI tools.
The chip includes a 5-core GPU for graphics performance, and a 16-core Neural Engine for AI tasks and Apple Intelligence features.
The laptop uses a fanless design, allowing it to run silently during use.

13-inch Liquid Retina display and aluminum design
The MacBook Neo features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with a 2408 × 1506 resolution, 500 nits of brightness, and support for 1 billion colors.
Apple says the display delivers higher resolution and brightness compared with many laptops in the same price range. An anti-reflective coating also improves visibility when working in bright environments.
The laptop uses a durable aluminum enclosure and weighs about 2.7 pounds, making it portable for students and mobile workers. It is available in four colors: Blush, Indigo, Silver, and Citrus.
The color scheme also extends to the keyboard and wallpapers for a consistent design aesthetic.
All-day battery and built-in Apple ecosystem features
Apple says the MacBook Neo can deliver up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge thanks to the power efficiency of Apple silicon.
The laptop also includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, dual microphones with beamforming for clearer calls, and side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support.
Input features include Apple’s Magic Keyboard and a large Multi-Touch trackpad, with select models offering Touch ID for secure login and authentication.
Connectivity and macOS integration
For connectivity, MacBook Neo includes two USB-C ports for charging and accessories and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It features a Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity and Bluetooth 6 support for peripherals.
The laptop ships with macOS Tahoe, which includes built-in apps such as Safari, Photos, Messages, and FaceTime.

Users with iPhone devices can also use Continuity features like Handoff, Universal Clipboard, and iPhone Mirroring, allowing tasks and files to move between devices seamlessly.
Sustainability goals with MacBook Neo
Apple says the MacBook Neo is designed with sustainability in mind as the company works toward its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.
The laptop includes 60 percent recycled materials, including 90 percent recycled aluminum and 100 percent recycled cobalt in the battery. Apple also says the packaging is 100 percent fiber-based and fully recyclable.
With its lower price point and Apple silicon performance, the MacBook Neo represents Apple’s push to expand the Mac lineup to a broader range of users, particularly students and first-time Mac buyers.
