TCL Showcases Broadcast, Display Technology at Milano Cortina 2026

TCL marked the closing of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, highlighting its role as a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner through a range of display technologies and smart devices used throughout the event.

During the Games, the global technology company supplied broadcast displays, smart home appliances, and immersive technology installations that supported media coverage, athlete experiences, and fan engagement. The deployment reflects TCL’s broader strategy to position its display and smart home ecosystem within large-scale global events.

Display systems power media coverage at the International Broadcast Center

One of TCL’s key contributions was at the International Broadcast Center, where media organizations coordinated coverage of the Games.

The company installed more than 330 television screens and 300 commercial display units across the facility. These screens allowed broadcasters and production teams to monitor competitions, review live feeds, and manage global distribution of Olympic content.

Broadcast centers play a critical role in international sporting events, serving as the central hub where live footage is processed and transmitted to millions of viewers worldwide.

Smart home technology supports athlete villages

TCL also deployed smart home appliances inside the Olympic Villages used by athletes participating in the Games.

The installations were designed to support daily living conditions during the competition period. TCL display systems also powered the “Athlete Moment” feature, a program that enables athletes to connect with family members and loved ones shortly after completing their events.

According to organizers, the system facilitated more than 350 remote interactions between athletes and their families during the Games.

Public technology exhibits bring TCL innovations to Milan

Beyond competition venues, TCL hosted several public-facing technology exhibits across Milan during the Winter Games period.

One installation, called “Wishes for Greatness,” was located at Piazza del Duomo, where themed displays and winter installations were built around the Milano Cortina event branding.

Another large-scale exhibit, TCL Edelweiss Land, opened at Piazza Duca d’Aosta near the city’s central railway station. Spanning over 500 square meters, the exhibit showcased TCL technologies including:

  • SQD (Super Quantum Dot) Mini-LED televisions
  • RayNeo AR smart glasses
  • next-generation smart home appliances

The exhibit attracted more than 91,000 visitors, according to the company.

TCL also collaborated with artists and Olympic partners to create a mural in downtown Milan inspired by the cultural impact of the Olympic Games.

Long-term Olympic partnership

TCL became a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner ahead of the Milano Cortina Games, joining other technology brands that support broadcasting, infrastructure, and fan engagement initiatives.

The company now turns its focus to the Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, scheduled from March 6 to 15, which will feature six winter sports including para alpine skiing, para biathlon, para cross-country skiing, para ice hockey, and para snowboarding.

Through its Olympic partnership, TCL aims to expand the use of display technology, smart home products, and emerging devices such as AR wearables in future global sporting events.
