Acer is expanding its monitor lineup with new displays aimed at competitive gamers, hybrid users, and professional creators, including gaming monitors capable of reaching 520Hz and a 5K Mini LED display designed for color-critical work.
Among the new models, the Acer Nitro XV275U Z2 and Nitro XV270U Z3 use Dynamic Frame Rate (DFR) technology to switch between different resolution and refresh-rate combinations, while the Acer ProDesigner PE270X P focuses on high-resolution visuals and professional color accuracy.
Acer Nitro XV275U Z2 reaches 520Hz
The 27-inch Nitro XV275U Z2 is designed to handle both high-end gaming and creative workloads, giving users the option to prioritize image quality or competitive performance on a single display.
Its tri-mode Dynamic Frequency Range (DFR) system lets users switch between QHD at 275Hz, FHD at 360Hz, and HD at 520Hz, allowing the monitor to adapt to different gaming scenarios. The display also offers a 0.5ms GTG response time, providing the low-latency performance needed for fast-paced competitive games.
For image quality, Acer equips the XV275U Z2 with 1,152-zone Mini LED backlighting and Acer HDR1000. It covers 97% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 95% of Adobe RGB, making it suitable for content creation alongside gaming.
AMD FreeSync Premium provides variable refresh-rate support to help reduce screen tearing.
The Nitro XV275U Z2 combines a 27-inch display with a maximum 520Hz refresh rate, while supporting QHD at 275Hz, FHD at 360Hz, and HD at 520Hz. Nitro XV270U Z3 offers the same 520Hz tri-mode concept
The Nitro XV270U Z3 takes a similar approach for gamers and creators looking for one display that can handle different workloads.
Its DFR modes offer QHD at 275Hz, FHD at 360Hz, and HD at 520Hz, with response times of up to 0.5ms GTG.
The monitor supports HDR10 and a 90% DCI-P3 color gamut, while AMD FreeSync Premium handles variable refresh rates for smoother gameplay.
At a lower starting price than the XV275U Z2, the XV270U Z3 provides a more accessible route to Acer’s tri-mode high-refresh-rate display concept.
Acer ProDesigner PE270X P targets professional creators
While the Nitro models prioritize gaming flexibility, the 27-inch Acer ProDesigner PE270X P is designed around professional creative work.
The display offers 5K resolution at 5120 × 2880, with factory calibration achieving a Delta E<1 for color accuracy. A 2,304-zone Mini LED backlight and VESA DisplayHDR 1400 certification provide high contrast and HDR performance, while the monitor covers 99% of Adobe RGB, 99% sRGB, and 99% DCI-P3 color gamuts.
Connectivity includes USB Type-C with 90W power delivery, while an Auto KVM switch allows users to control multiple connected systems more conveniently. An ErgoStand provides adjustable positioning for longer creative sessions.
Despite its creator-focused design, the PE270X P also supports gaming-oriented refresh rates. Its standard refresh rate is 165Hz, while DFR can increase performance to QHD at 330Hz. AMD FreeSync Premium is also supported.

The Nitro XV275U Z2 will launch in North America and EMEA in Q4 2026, starting at US$329.99 / €329. The Nitro XV270U Z3 follows in Q1 2027, starting at US$299.99 / €299 in North America and EMEA, with a China launch starting at RMB 1,999.
Meanwhile, the ProDesigner PE270X P is scheduled for Q1 2027 in North America and EMEA, starting at US$1,299.99 / €1,299.
