Insta360 has officially launched the Insta360 X6 in the Philippines, bringing its latest flagship 8K 360 camera to local creators, media, and industry partners.
The Philippine launch was held on August 13 at The Iron Fairies in Bonifacio Global City, where attendees got a first look at the X6 through hands-on demonstrations and product experiences.
Following its global unveiling, the X6 expands Insta360’s X Series in the local market with upgraded 360 imaging, multiple shooting modes, and AI-powered editing tools designed to make content creation more flexible.
“At Insta360, user feedback is one of our highest priorities,” said Henry Hsu, Insta360 Principal Consultant. “In many ways, our users are the co-designers of our next products, helping us create innovations that remain relevant to how content creation continues to evolve.”
Insta360 X6 brings flagship 8K imaging
At the heart of the X6 are custom dual Sony 1/1.1-inch square sensors, which deliver what Insta360 describes as a full 1-inch-equivalent 360 imaging experience.
The camera can record native 8K video at 50fps, while 10-bit color and native in-camera Dolby Vision provide greater color depth and detail for both everyday shooting and professional workflows.
Low-light performance also receives an upgrade, giving creators more flexibility when shooting across different environments and lighting conditions.
One camera, multiple ways to shoot
Beyond its 360 capabilities, the X6 is designed to work as a subject-tracking camera and single-lens action camera, giving users multiple ways to capture content with one device.
Creators can record their entire surroundings and choose the ideal framing afterward. InstaFrame 2.0 also enables flat 4K footage, while single-lens mode offers a more traditional action-camera experience.
Longer shooting sessions are supported by the new 2,600mAh Xtreme Battery, which can deliver up to 140 minutes of 8K30fps 360 recording. Insta360’s Star-Ridge cooling system is designed to maintain stable performance during sustained 8K recording.
Another practical addition is 64GB of built-in storage, with 47GB available for use, allowing users to begin recording without a microSD card.
With compatibility across more than 100 accessories, the X6 can also be configured for activities such as travel, motorcycle riding, cycling, diving, and outdoor sports.
AI makes 360 footage easier to edit
The X6 also introduces Insta360 PanoMind, the company’s first 360-native AI model designed to understand a complete spherical scene rather than a conventional flat frame.
Through AI Director, the camera can analyze footage while charging and automatically generate highlight edits that are sent to the Insta360 app. This can reduce the time users spend sorting through lengthy recordings.
Creators who want more control can use Auto Edit 2.0, which can combine one or multiple clips into a finished edit with framing, camera movement, cuts, music, and transitions.
For more advanced production workflows, the X6 supports I-Log, 10-bit recording, Insta360 Studio, and Insta360+ cloud-based editing tools.
Insta360 expands its local community presence
The Philippine launch is also part of Insta360 Philippines’ broader effort to make its products more accessible through retail expansion, workshops, and community activities.
Selected authorized retail partners and communities will host hands-on workshops where customers can explore the cameras, learn about new features, and understand how different shooting modes can fit their creative and lifestyle needs.
The program will cover communities focused on travel, motorcycle riding, cycling, outdoor sports, filmmaking, and other creative fields, demonstrating how 360 cameras can be used across different interests and workflows.
“We also strongly believe that the customer experience should continue well beyond the purchase,” Hsu said. “That is why we are expanding our retail presence across key cities in the Philippines, making our products and local support more accessible.”
X6 availability and pricing in the Philippines
The Insta360 X6 is available in the Philippines starting August 12, 2026, through authorized Insta360 retailers nationwide and official online channels.
The Standard Bundle costs ₱45,390 and includes the X6, USB-C cable, protective pouch, and lens cloth.
Priced at ₱49,990, the Essentials Bundle adds an extra Xtreme Battery, 114cm Invisible Selfie Stick, Lens Cap, and Fast Charge Case alongside the camera and standard accessories.
