Samsung Unveils Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition for Milano Cortina 2026 Athletes
Samsung Electronics has unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, an exclusive smartphone designed for athletes competing at the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
As a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, Samsung will distribute the special edition device to nearly 3,800 athletes from around 90 countries. The company positions the foldable smartphone as a dedicated companion throughout the Games — from daily life inside the Olympic Village to podium celebrations.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will also power the return of the Victory Selfie, which makes its Winter Olympics debut in Milano Cortina. For the first time, the initiative will expand to team sports, allowing entire squads to capture podium moments using the device.
Stephanie Choi, EVP and Head of Mobile Marketing Center at Samsung’s MX Business, said the company continues its nearly 30-year commitment to supporting athletes through mobile innovation, a partnership that began with Olympic Editions in Sochi 2014.
Galaxy Z Flip7 Brings AI, FlexWindow and Dual Recording to the Games
The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition builds on Samsung’s latest foldable platform, integrating Galaxy AI features with an edge-to-edge FlexWindow display designed for one-handed use.

The device includes a dual rear camera system with a 50MP Wide and 12MP Ultra-Wide lens, along with AI-powered features such as Photo Assist for object editing and background adjustments. The on-device Interpreter enables real-time translation without requiring a network connection — a feature Samsung highlights as useful in mountainous Winter Games venues.
Athletes will also have access to Now Brief, which provides personalized updates including schedules, reminders and fitness summaries. Dual Recording allows users to capture both their surroundings and reactions simultaneously using the rear and front cameras, while split-view zoom enhances live previews directly on the FlexWindow.
Olympic Design Honors Milano Cortina 2026
Samsung customized the Olympic Edition with a blue back glass inspired by Milano Cortina 2026’s visual identity and Italian azure. A gold metal frame symbolizes podium aspirations, while a clear magnet case with a blue circular magnet and gold laurel detailing reinforces the victory theme.
The device comes preloaded with Olympic-themed wallpapers inspired by winter sports movements on ice, reflecting the host nation’s design elements and the spirit of the Games.
Pre-Loaded Services Support Athletes in the Olympic Village
Beyond hardware, Samsung has integrated a suite of apps and services tailored for the Games.
The Galaxy Athlete Card allows athletes to digitally exchange profiles and interact across delegations. A complimentary 100GB 5G eSIM provides connectivity, while Samsung Wallet includes digital passes and partner services, including a Coca-Cola Free Beverage Key for Village vending machines.

Athlete365 is integrated into Now Brief to deliver competition updates and mental health support resources. Additional pre-installed apps include the official Olympic Games app, IOC Hotline and PinQuest. A fitness app enables athletes to track workouts and access personalized training insights using Village-installed equipment.
Samsung will also operate Open Stations at Olympic Villages across six cities beginning January 30, offering device activation, data transfer and technical support.
Victory Selfie Expands, Victory Profile Debuts
First introduced at Paris 2024, the Victory Selfie initiative allowed medalists to capture podium celebrations directly from the stage. At Milano Cortina 2026, the feature expands to team events, reflecting the collaborative nature of many winter disciplines.
Samsung is also launching the Victory Profile, a new storytelling initiative developed with nine National Olympic Committees. Approximately 490 athletes from France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States will participate in the initial rollout. The project uses the Galaxy S25 Ultra to create curated portraits that highlight athletes’ personalities and journeys beyond competition.
