ASUS Named One of Corporate Knights’ Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations
Tech giants ASUS earns a spot on Corporate Knights’ Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations, recognized for climate action, circular economy efforts, and strong ESG performance.
ASUS stood as the only Taiwanese company included in the Computers and Peripheral Equipment category. Evaluators assessed sustainability indicators such as sustainable revenue, investment ratios, and long-term performance momentum.
Corporate Knights cited ASUS’ integrated sustainability strategy, which centers on four pillars: Climate Action, Circular Economy, Responsible Manufacturing, and Value Creation.
Climate Action and AI-Driven Carbon Management
ASUS earned recognition for its progress toward a 2050 Net Zero goal, using an AI-powered carbon data management platform to monitor and reduce emissions across its global operations and supply chain.
As of the latest reporting period, 56% of ASUS’ global operations are powered by renewable energy, while carbon emission intensity among key suppliers has dropped by 28% from baseline levels. These efforts contributed to ASUS receiving a Double ‘A’ rating from CDP for Climate Change and Water Security in 2025.
According to the company, it has embedded sustainability principles into product development through design thinking.
Eco-Friendly Products Drive Majority of Revenue
ASUS reported that 89% of its 2024 revenue came from eco-friendly products. In 2025, the company was among the first to meet the latest EPEAT Climate+ standards set by the Global Electronics Council, retaining its Climate+ Champion designation.
The certification reflects compliance with stricter criteria on carbon reduction, responsible material sourcing, and lifecycle product management.
Governance, Reporting, and Future Plans
In governance and transparency, ASUS received multiple recognitions from the Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards, including a Platinum Award for its Climate-Related Financial Disclosure Report and Gold Awards for its Sustainability Report and Nature Impact Assessment Report.
Looking ahead, ASUS said it plans to roll out a new five-year sustainability action plan, with a continued focus on digital solutions, operational efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
The company said it aims to further strengthen its role in guiding the technology sector toward long-term sustainable growth.
