Honor of Kings (HoK) has launched a month-long collaboration with the hit Japanese anime DAN DA DAN, introducing exclusive character skins, themed game modes, limited-time events, and campus activities for players throughout August.
The crossover, which began on August 1, brings the supernatural world of DAN DA DAN into HoK through new cosmetics, in-game challenges, and rewards inspired by the anime’s characters.
DAN DA DAN skins and rewards arrive in HoK
Throughout August, HoK players can unlock collaboration-exclusive content by participating in limited-time events and collecting DAN DA DAN Redemption Coins.
Among the featured rewards are Daji – Momo, redeemable through the DAN DA DAN Redemption Shop; Lam – Okarun, available via the DAN DA DAN Wish Event from August 1 to 31; Mozi – Jiji (Evil Eye), which joins the Wish Event from August 7 to 31; the Flowborn collaboration headgear through the Collect & Redeem Event beginning August 20; Turbo Granny minions, redeemable for one Honor Crystal; and Chiquitita Spriteling, obtainable through a free collaboration event.
Players who log in between August 1 and 31 will also be treated to a special collaboration opening animation inspired by the Dandadan anime.
Limited-time events offer exclusive rewards
Two themed activities allow players to earn Redemption Coins throughout the event.
The Investigation Event (Aug. 1-15) lets players explore UFO hotspots and haunted locations inspired by DAN DA DAN while completing missions for rewards, including an exclusive title.
Meanwhile, Spiritual Power Awakening (Aug. 7-31) places players in the role of Okarun, who must carry Momo to safety while escaping Turbo Granny and the Serpoians, collecting Spiritual Power across the map to earn additional Redemption Coins.
From August 14 to 31, HoK will also launch the Free Spriteling Collaboration Costume Event, where active players can earn lucky draw tokens for a chance to obtain the Chiquitita Spriteling and other rewards.
Mid-season update brings hero adjustments
Alongside the collaboration, HoK rolled out its first mid-season update, introducing gameplay adjustments for several heroes.
Among the notable changes, Ao’yin now has casting speed that scales with Attack Speed, while Zilong receives increased Skill 2 hits and damage, an extended Skill 1 range that scales with level, and an Ultimate that now applies an Induction Mark. Meanwhile, Yang Jian’s long-range attacks no longer trigger Heaven-Earth Form at full Energy, while Arthur can now use Skill 1 to dash without requiring a target.
The update also includes balance adjustments for Cai Yan, Dun, Wuyan, and Zhuangzi.
HoK brings DAN DA DAN to Metro Manila campuses
Beyond the game, HoK is bringing the collaboration to students through the HoK × DAN DA DAN Campus Roadshow: DADAANAN Kay-U!, which will visit three universities across Metro Manila.
The roadshow will stop at National University Manila on August 12, University of the East Manila on August 19, and Technological Institute of the Philippines – Quezon City on August 26.
Students can take part in themed activities, including the Supernatural Reflex Test, Golden Ball Hunt, Golden Ball Drop, and a collaboration-themed photobooth. Each campus stop will also culminate in a Paranormal Campus Tournament, where five-player teams can compete for in-game rewards and cash prizes.
