Gangstar Mirage City Launches in SEA With 30M Pre-Registrations

Gangstar Mirage City is now available across Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, after surpassing 30 million pre-registrations ahead of its regional launch.

Published by Level Infinite and developed by Gameloft, the free-to-play multiplayer open-world action game is available on iOS and Android. Players can explore the futuristic Mirage City, build a business empire, customize vehicles, complete missions, and compete in multiplayer events.

The regional release also expands on the game’s Philippine soft launch with a larger map, additional events, more empire-building options, and expanded localization for Southeast Asian players.

Gangstar Mirage City brings an open-world experience to mobile

Set in a near-future metropolis, Gangstar Mirage City combines a story-driven campaign with dynamic events and player-driven activities.

Players can explore the city, complete narrative missions, take part in heists, and encounter spontaneous events throughout the map. The game also includes Director’s Mode, which lets players create and record custom story videos from their gameplay.

The open-world structure is designed to mix scripted missions with unscripted encounters, giving players multiple ways to progress through Mirage City.

Multiplayer modes include heists, gang wars, and vehicle battles

The game expands beyond its main campaign with several multiplayer modes, allowing players to team up with friends or faction members.

Featured events include Fight of the Bites, a restaurant-themed gang war; Taxi Takeover, a vehicle-focused competitive mode; Treasure Rush, an objective-based event; Big Head Mode, a survival-focused mode; and Orarra Fight, a battle royale-style mode.

Players can also participate in Co-op Heists, with limited-time items available through various multiplayer activities.

Players can build a business empire

Business management is another progression system in Gangstar Mirage City. Players can expand their territory across different districts, increasing their income and influence as their empire grows.

A unified net worth system tracks the overall value of a player’s empire. Progressing through the system unlocks additional gear, vehicles, and perks.

This gives the game an economic progression layer alongside its traditional open-world missions and combat.

New vehicle mechanics add more depth to combat

Driving plays a central role in Gangstar Mirage City, with the game combining vehicle pursuits with its run-and-gun combat system.

Its shoot-and-drive mechanics allow players to engage enemies while operating vehicles. Players can also use the Digital Disruptor to control nearby vehicles, while the Sentry System and Siege Plating provide additional offensive and defensive options.

These mechanics give vehicles a larger role than simply serving as transportation around the open world.

The regional launch supports nine languages, including English and Tagalog. Tagalog localization covers menus, mission objectives, subtitles, and item descriptions, giving Filipino players the option to navigate and experience the game in their preferred language.

The Southeast Asian release also expands the map and introduces region-based language text following the game’s Philippine soft launch.

Pre-registration rewards are now available

Players who pre-registered before August 19 can claim several launch rewards through the game’s in-game mail system, including 300 Diamonds, Vehicle Upgrade Vouchers, and a Vehicle Pack from the Global Vault Heist campaign.

Players who recruited friends into their four-person crews during the pre-registration campaign can also receive additional vouchers for cosmetic items. Winning factions in Southeast Asia are eligible for an additional 300 Diamonds per member.

Creator Program launches alongside the game

Gameloft has also launched the Gangstar Mirage City Creator Program, giving players incentives to create and share gameplay content. The program offers rewards such as a shared cash pool, in-game currency, official account reposts, and other initiatives designed to increase creator visibility.

Players can also look forward to a month-long “All Gangstar Show” livestream series featuring content creators competing to become the boss of Mirage City. Southeast Asian schedule details will be announced at a later date.

Gangstar Mirage City is now available as a free-to-play game on iOS and Android across Southeast Asia, including the Philippines.
