Lenovo Targets AI Security Gaps With End-to-End Cyber Resilience Services

As Philippine organizations accelerate AI adoption, Lenovo is expanding its Security Services portfolio with an end-to-end cyber resiliency framework designed to address growing security complexity and fragmented incident response.

The company cited research showing that 90% of IT leaders acknowledge gaps in their ability to defend against AI-driven threats. Lenovo says its expanded services can help organizations cut system downtime by up to 50% and remediation costs by up to 40% by combining devices, security technologies, managed services, and ecosystem partners under one operational model.

AI adoption is creating new cybersecurity challenges

AI is becoming increasingly integrated into workplaces and business operations, but the technology is also changing the threat landscape. For organizations in sectors such as banking, healthcare, retail, business process outsourcing, and government, security incidents can affect not only IT systems but also business continuity and sensitive data.

The Philippines’ National Cybersecurity Plan 2023-2028 identifies cyber resilience as a national priority, while the National Privacy Commission requires organizations handling personal information to maintain security incident management policies and report security incidents annually.

Lenovo argues that the challenge is therefore no longer simply acquiring additional security tools. Organizations also need to coordinate those tools effectively and recover quickly when an incident disrupts operations.

Lenovo wants to simplify security accountability

Security operations can become fragmented when organizations rely on multiple vendors, platforms, and support teams. Lenovo’s expanded framework aims to address this by giving customers a single point of accountability across devices, security technologies, managed services, and technology partners.

The company’s approach covers several areas of cyber resilience, including Identity and Access Management, Data Protection, Extended Detection and Response, Visibility and Risk Management, and Security for AI.

Lenovo’s AI-enabled Security Operations Center (SOC) provides a coordinated operational layer across these capabilities, with the company saying its global SOC operates 24/7/365.

According to Lenovo, the approach can reduce security complexity while helping organizations maintain business continuity and recover from incidents more efficiently.

Security Services with Absolute adds automated resilience

One of the new offerings is Lenovo Security Services with Absolute, a fully managed service designed to maintain critical security controls across distributed workforces.

The service can automatically recover essential security controls when they are disrupted, reducing the need for manual intervention from internal IT teams.

Lenovo combines this capability with its global SOC, allowing security specialists to continuously monitor activity and respond to emerging threats. The company says the combination of firmware-level resilience, managed operations, and security expertise can help organizations maintain protection across distributed environments.

ThinkShield TraceLock keeps track of disconnected devices

Lenovo is also introducing ThinkShield TraceLock, powered by Absolute Security, which focuses on devices that become difficult to manage when they are lost, stolen, powered off, or disconnected from a network.

Traditional endpoint management tools often depend on an active operating system or network connection. ThinkShield TraceLock instead uses built-in cellular connectivity to allow IT administrators to remotely locate, wake, and wipe supported devices.

The capability is aimed at organizations handling sensitive information, particularly in regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, government, and business process outsourcing.

ThinkShield TraceLock became available beginning July 1 on select ThinkPad devices.

Lenovo expands security partnerships

Lenovo’s cyber resiliency framework integrates with security and technology providers including Absolute, Cisco, Google, Microsoft, SentinelOne, and Veeam.

Rather than requiring customers to manage separate relationships during security incidents, Lenovo is positioning its services as a unified operational model that connects protection, monitoring, resilience, and recovery.

The company said its Security Services have also received recognition from industry organizations, including the 2026 Fortress Cybersecurity Awards across cyber resilience, application security, and AI security categories.

Cyber resilience becomes part of business continuity

The shift toward AI-powered workplaces means cybersecurity increasingly extends beyond protecting individual endpoints. Organizations also need to ensure that their identities, data, devices, applications, and operational systems can continue functioning when attacks or disruptions occur.

Lenovo’s expanded Security Services portfolio reflects that shift by focusing on resilience and recovery alongside threat prevention. For Philippine enterprises, particularly those operating in highly regulated industries, the ability to maintain control of devices and data while recovering from incidents could become as important as preventing attacks in the first place.
