Sony INZONE H6 Air Headset Launch: Open-Back Gaming Audio Expands INZONE Lineup in PH

Sony continues to grow its gaming peripherals lineup with the launch of the Sony INZONE H6 Air, a new wired headset built around open-back acoustics and lightweight design.

The expansion also includes Fnatic-themed accessories and a new colorway for its INZONE Buds, signaling a broader push into the competitive gaming space.

Open-back design brings studio-like audio to gaming

The INZONE H6 Air stands out for its open-back acoustic structure, a design more commonly seen in studio headphones than gaming headsets. By allowing air and sound to pass through the earcups, the headset reduces internal reflections and creates a more natural, spatial sound field.

Sony pairs this with custom-tuned drivers derived from its Sony MDR-MV1, aiming to deliver clearer separation between frequencies. The result is a sound profile that emphasizes positional accuracy—an important factor in competitive and immersive titles.

To further refine the experience, Sony worked with developers from PlayStation Studios to develop an “RPG/Adventure” equalizer preset. This profile is designed to replicate studio-level sound environments, particularly for narrative-driven and open-world games.

Built for long sessions with lightweight construction

At 199 grams, the INZONE H6 Air is positioned as Sony’s lightest gaming headset to date. The design uses an aluminum frame combined with a spring hinge headband similar to the one found in the Sony INZONE H9 II, balancing durability with comfort.

The headset also includes a detachable cardioid microphone, tuned to prioritize voice clarity while minimizing background noise. This makes it suitable for both in-game communication and casual streaming setups.

Expanding ecosystem with Fnatic gear and new earbuds color

Alongside the headset, Sony is introducing Fnatic Edition variants of its existing peripherals. These include the INZONE Mouse-A, INZONE Mat-F, and INZONE Mat-D, all featuring the signature orange aesthetic of Fnatic.

The update also brings a new “Glass Purple” color option to the Sony INZONE Buds. The translucent finish adds a visual refresh to Sony’s wireless gaming audio lineup, which already competes in the growing earbuds segment for gamers.

Availability in the Philippines

The INZONE H6 Air is scheduled to arrive on May 15, 2026, through select authorized Sony dealers in the Philippines. Meanwhile, the Fnatic Edition accessories and Glass Purple INZONE Buds are already available at select retail locations, including major electronics stores.

Sony’s latest INZONE additions reflect a continued effort to build a more complete gaming ecosystem beyond consoles. With competitors pushing deeper into audio innovation and esports partnerships, the focus on open-back sound design and co-branded gear highlights Sony’s strategy to appeal to both casual players and competitive gamers.

As gaming setups evolve, peripherals like the INZONE H6 Air show how audio quality and comfort are becoming just as important as raw performance in shaping the overall experience.
