VYBE, the e-wallet platform of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), is expanding its digital finance reach through a partnership with M Lhuillier, allowing users to cash in for free across more than 3,000 branches nationwide.
The move aims to bridge traditional cash-based transactions with digital financial services, making it easier for Filipinos to adopt e-wallets for everyday payments and money management.
Free cash-in access across 3,000 M Lhuillier branches
Through the partnership, VYBE users can now deposit funds into their e-wallets at any participating M Lhuillier branch nationwide without additional cash-in fees.
Once funded, users gain access to VYBE’s core digital services, including QR Ph payments for merchants, free bank and e-wallet transfers, rewards points earning and redemption, and digital financial management tools.
The expansion significantly increases physical access points for digital onboarding, especially in areas where banking infrastructure remains limited.
BPI strengthens push for financial inclusion

Bank of the Philippine Islands said the initiative supports its broader financial inclusion strategy by combining physical branch networks with digital financial tools.
“This initiative reinforces BPI’s commitment to financial inclusion,” said Eric Faustino, Head of Digital Partnerships and Ecosystems at BPI. He added that expanding cash-in access through trusted partners helps more Filipinos transition to digital financial services.
The partnership reflects a broader industry trend where traditional banks are partnering with remittance and retail networks to accelerate digital adoption.
M Lhuillier leverages nationwide branch network
M Lhuillier, which operates more than 3,000 branches nationwide, continues to position itself as a key financial access point for Filipinos.
Company president and CEO Michael L. Lhuillier said the partnership aligns with their role as a “bridge” to essential financial services.
He emphasized that the collaboration provides a simple and reliable way for customers to access digital financial tools through familiar physical locations.
Simple three-step cash-in process for users

VYBE outlined a straightforward process for cash-in transactions at M Lhuillier branches.
Users simply fill out a Kwarta Padala form and provide the amount, receive and keep the transaction receipt, then wait for funds to reflect in their VYBE e-wallet.
The process is designed to make digital wallet onboarding more accessible, especially for first-time users who may not be familiar with fully digital banking systems.
Digital wallets continue expanding offline access
The partnership highlights how e-wallet providers in the Philippines are increasingly relying on hybrid models that combine physical cash-in points with mobile financial services.
Bank of the Philippine Islands continues to develop VYBE as an all-in-one financial app that supports QR payments, transfers, rewards, and other digital transactions, positioning it within the country’s fast-growing fintech ecosystem.
As digital finance adoption grows, partnerships like this are expected to play a key role in connecting cash-dependent users to mobile-first financial tools.
