LG Electronics is expanding its Fit & Max Solution beyond refrigerators to washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers, targeting a common challenge for modern Filipino homes: making limited space work without sacrificing appliance capacity or performance.
Built around the “Fit Space, Max Life” concept, the expanded lineup combines installation flexibility and streamlined designs with features designed to maximize what each appliance can offer within its footprint.
The appliances will be showcased at IFA 2026 in Berlin from September 4 to 8, where LG will demonstrate the concept across kitchen and laundry setups.
LG Fit & Max focuses on making appliances fit better
The Fit & Max approach centers on two ideas. Fit Space focuses on designs and installation systems that allow appliances to sit more naturally within their surroundings, while Max Life focuses on maximizing capacity, performance, energy efficiency, and convenience.
Depending on the appliance, LG uses features such as specialized door and hinge mechanisms, slide-in installation, and flatter exterior designs to reduce unnecessary gaps and protrusion.
That approach could be particularly relevant to homes where every bit of floor and cabinet space matters, including condominiums, apartments, and smaller family homes.

Fit & Max refrigerators maximize storage
LG’s refrigerators were the starting point for the Fit & Max concept, with select models using Zero Clearance, Thin Door designs, and flat exteriors to sit closer to walls and surrounding cabinetry.
The 36-inch VN3 models have also received recognition from the 2026 iF Design Award and 2026 Red Dot Award.
Inside, the refrigerators feature Dual FRESHConverter+ and Full Convert Drawer, offering up to three adjustable temperature zones for different types of food. AI Fresh learns usage patterns over three weeks and adjusts cooling operation accordingly.
Bringing the concept to laundry appliances
LG is also extending Fit & Max to washing machines, dryers, and garment-care products.
The laundry lineup uses slide-in installation and flat designs to reduce protrusion while maintaining a larger internal drum. LG says an enhanced internal structure and inverter-controlled Direct Drive motor help maximize usable space without increasing the appliance’s footprint.
Smart features also play a role. AI Wash and AI Dry detect load characteristics and adjust cycle settings automatically, reducing the amount of manual intervention needed during laundry routines.

Dishwashers get a flush-fit design
The Fit & Max concept extends to the kitchen through LG’s dishwashers, which feature a flush-fit exterior designed to align with surrounding cabinetry.
The appliances include a 1-hour Wash & Dry cycle and AI SenseClean, which detects the soil level of a load and adjusts cleaning performance accordingly.
Rather than treating space-saving design as a purely aesthetic feature, LG is positioning Fit & Max as an approach that balances physical integration with everyday functionality.
Fit & Max takes the spotlight at IFA 2026
LG will showcase its Fit & Max refrigerators, laundry appliances, and dishwashers together in a dedicated zone at its Hall 18 booth at Messe Berlin during IFA 2026.
The company will recreate modern kitchen and laundry environments to demonstrate how its appliances can integrate into tighter spaces while retaining their intended capacity and features.
For Filipino households, the broader Fit & Max rollout reflects a growing appliance design consideration: how to get more functionality out of the space already available at home.
