NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Becomes First Non-Blizzard Game to Feature Official Hearthstone Content

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT has launched a crossover with Hearthstone, marking the first time official Hearthstone content has appeared in a non-Blizzard game.

NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment launched Phase 1 of the collaboration on August 20, bringing recognizable Hearthstone cosmetics, sounds, and visual elements into the melee battle royale. A second phase is planned for 2027.

Hearthstone content to the battlefield

The collaboration introduces several Hearthstone-themed elements without changing the core combat of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT.

Players can log in during the event to claim a Murloc Headwear cosmetic for free, bringing one of the card game’s most recognizable creatures into the martial arts-inspired world of NARAKA.

The crossover also incorporates familiar Hearthstone audio and references directly into matches.

Players can trigger an in-battle speech bubble featuring Anduin’s recognizable “Wow!” reaction. Meanwhile, opening high-rarity Trove items can produce Hearthstone announcements such as “Epic!” and “Wow… Legendary!”

Card packs become Troves

The crossover extends beyond character cosmetics and sound effects with a new Hearthstone-themed Trove skin.

With the skin equipped, battlefield chests are redesigned to resemble Hearthstone card packs. The change gives one of the game’s standard loot interactions a visual connection to opening card packs in Blizzard’s digital card game.

The collaboration also features additional references and surprises throughout the battlefield, with the official gameplay trailer teasing a voice appearance from the Lich King.

Phase 2 of the collaboration arrives in 2027

The current crossover represents only the first phase of the partnership. NetEase confirmed that Phase 2 of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT × Hearthstone is scheduled for 2027, although specific content has not yet been revealed. The collaboration is notable beyond the individual cosmetics because it marks the first official appearance of Hearthstone content in a game outside Blizzard’s own portfolio.

For NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, the crossover also expands its growing collection of collaborations while giving Hearthstone recognizable representation in a very different genre.

Phase 1 is now live, with players able to access the collaboration content and claim the free Murloc Headwear. More Hearthstone content is expected when the second phase arrives next year.
