DEEPAL opens first Philippine showroom in Mandaluyong, starts initial REEV deliveries

DEEPAL has officially opened its first flagship showroom in the Philippines, located along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City, marking the brand’s formal entry into the local retail and aftersales market.

The launch also coincides with the start of initial deliveries for its range-extended electric vehicles (REEV), signaling early momentum in its Philippine rollout under the Autohub Group.

The showroom opening brings DEEPAL’s electric mobility push into a more physical and customer-facing phase, as the industry continues to shift toward electrified and hybrid powertrains. The facility is positioned as both a sales and service hub for future customers.

Mandaluyong showroom signals DEEPAL’s retail expansion in PH

The new DEEPAL showroom spans around 1,562 square meters and integrates both vehicle display and aftersales services. It features four display vehicles and 10 service bays, positioning it as a full-service facility for sales, maintenance, and customer support.

Autohub Group, the brand’s exclusive distributor in the Philippines, leads the local rollout in partnership with Changan Automobile. The setup reflects a growing trend among new energy vehicle brands to establish end-to-end retail ecosystems rather than standalone dealerships.

REEV deliveries begin with early customer turnover

Alongside the showroom launch, DEEPAL formally turned over 12 units of its S05 and G318 REEV models to pioneer customers. The event marks the brand’s first batch of deliveries in the country, with an additional 56 units scheduled for release in the following days.

REEV or range-extended electric vehicles combine electric driving with onboard power generation, allowing longer range compared to pure EVs. The technology is increasingly being positioned as a transitional solution in markets where charging infrastructure is still developing.

Government and industry presence highlights mobility shift

The launch event was attended by Mandaluyong City officials, including Mayor Carmelita “Menchie” Abalos and Vice Mayor Antonio Suva Jr., alongside executives from Changan Automobile and Autohub Group leadership.

Industry stakeholders highlighted the potential of electrified mobility to reduce long-term operating costs through lower fuel dependency and improved efficiency. Financial and insurance partners were also present, reflecting broader ecosystem support for new energy vehicles in the local market.

As DEEPAL establishes its first showroom and begins deliveries, the brand enters the Philippine automotive space at a time when electrification and hybrid systems are gradually gaining traction across mainstream and premium segments.
