XPENG to Officially Launch in the Philippines This September

Chinese AI-driven mobility company XPENG will officially enter the Philippine market this September, with a public launch event that will introduce the brand and its first two local models.

The company previously confirmed plans to enter the Philippines in the third quarter of 2026. It has now set September for its formal market debut, although the exact launch date and venue have yet to be announced.

The event will also mark the start of operations for XPENG Philippines, the company’s direct subsidiary and national sales and marketing organization in the country.

XPENG Philippines will handle local operations

Unlike a market entry handled solely through a third-party distributor, XPENG will establish a direct subsidiary in the Philippines.

XPENG Philippines will oversee the brand’s local sales, marketing, distribution, and retail operations, which the company says reinforces its long-term plans for the market.

Details about dealerships, retail locations, and the broader local network have not yet been disclosed.

XPENG X9 and L03 to debut in the Philippines

Two models will headline XPENG’s initial Philippine lineup: the XPENG X9 and XPENG L03.

The X9 will serve as the flagship of the local range. The seven-seater is positioned as an intelligent family and executive vehicle, combining a premium cabin with XPENG’s AI-powered technologies.

The L03, meanwhile, is described by XPENG as an intelligent SUV coupe aimed at modern professionals. It combines a sportier design with the company’s software-focused approach to electric vehicle technology.

XPENG has yet to disclose the Philippine-market specifications, variants, pricing, or final availability of either model.

Expanding the global EV footprint

XPENG develops smart electric vehicles around an in-house technology stack that includes its advanced driver-assistance system, intelligent in-car operating system, and other core vehicle technologies.

Headquartered in Guangzhou, China, the company currently operates across more than 60 countries and regions, with more than 380 overseas stores and regional operations in markets including Germany, the UK, France, Australia, Thailand, and Mexico.

Its Philippine entry comes as more Chinese EV brands expand across Southeast Asia, giving local buyers another option in an increasingly competitive electric vehicle market.

Philippine launch details coming soon

XPENG Philippines has not yet announced the venue, exact date, activities, or registration details for its September launch.

The company said those details will be released through its official social media channels, including @xpengphilippines on Facebook and Instagram.

More importantly for prospective buyers, XPENG is expected to reveal the Philippine pricing, variants, specifications, and availability of the X9 and L03 at the launch event.
