vivo Philippines launches Campus Ambassador Program for NCR students starting May 27

vivo Philippines is opening its Campus Ambassador Program to college students in the National Capital Region (NCR), giving them early exposure to brand marketing, leadership, and event execution. The program kicks off its audition phase on May 27 at Robinsons Manila.

Branded as the GEN V community under vivo Club, the initiative positions itself as a structured entry point for students looking to gain real-world experience in marketing and brand representation while still in school.

Hands-on marketing experience for college students

The program is designed to bridge classroom learning with industry practice. vivo Philippines’ marketing team will train selected students in core areas such as brand strategy and positioning, digital marketing and content execution, campaign planning and activation, and communication and public representation.

vivo Philippines will also expose participants to product launches and brand events, giving them direct experience in live marketing environments.

Incentives, mentorship, and career pathways

Beyond training, vivo Philippines is offering financial and professional support for selected ambassadors. Participants will receive a monthly incentive of ₱5,000 for 12 months, along with mentorship from industry professionals.

The program also opens potential long-term opportunities, including internship and employment consideration after graduation, exposure to brand campaigns and product launches, and possible international or exchange learning opportunities (subject to availability).

vivo Philippines says the program helps students build early confidence in leadership and communication while developing practical marketing skills.

Audition schedule across NCR malls

The selection process for vivo Philippines will run through mall-based auditions across Metro Manila, beginning May 27.

The schedule includes May 27 at Robinsons Manila (kickoff audition), May 31 at Market! Market!, June 19 at Ayala Malls Feliz, and July 4 at SM Fairview.

Applicants must be currently enrolled college students in NCR, preferably in their first to third year, and must present valid school and government identification. Initial screening includes self-introduction, a short creative presentation, and a discussion on their interest in the program.

Candidates selected from mall auditions will advance through additional evaluation rounds, including online voting and final presentations. vivo will hold the final awarding ceremony on July 12 inside the SM Mall of Asia.

Growing trend: brands investing in student creators

The Campus Ambassador Program reflects a broader industry trend where tech brands build youth communities to strengthen engagement and long-term brand affinity. Smartphone and consumer tech companies use similar programs to expand their presence among Gen Z audiences through campus-based activations and content creation.

For vivo, the GEN V rollout strengthens its lifestyle positioning in the competitive midrange smartphone market, where brand storytelling and youth engagement increasingly influence purchase decisions.

Students interested in joining may register online or apply during on-site auditions at participating mall events.
