BYD Cars Philippines Surpasses Fundraising Goal for Healthway Cancer Care Hope Fund

BYD Cars Philippines has turned over ₱770,000 to the Cancer Care Hope Fund of Healthway Foundation after exceeding the sales target for its limited-edition Seashell Pink BYD Seagull campaign.

The donation ceremony took place on April 14 at the Healthway Cancer Care Hospital, the Philippines’ first dedicated specialty cancer facility.

Campaign exceeds original sales target

Launched in July 2025, the initiative aimed to sell 70 units of the limited-edition BYD Seagull in Seashell Pink. The campaign eventually reached 77 units sold, allowing the company to surpass its fundraising goal for the Cancer Care Hope Fund.

The campaign appealed to a younger generation of drivers embracing electric mobility while supporting a healthcare-focused advocacy initiative.

“For us at BYD Cars Philippines, this effort embodies the community support that ACMobility stands for—malasakit,” said Bob Palanca. “It is about going beyond what is expected and finding ways to create a positive impact in the communities we serve.”

Supporting Filipino cancer patients and families

The proceeds will support Filipino cancer patients through the Cancer Care Hope Fund, which helps reduce the financial burden associated with cancer treatment and long-term care.

Jef Peeters emphasized the importance of partnerships that extend healthcare support beyond medical treatment.

“At Healthway, we believe that cancer care goes beyond treatment—it is about caring for the whole patient, including the emotional, financial, and social challenges that come with the journey,” Peeters said.

He added that the contribution would help more patients access timely treatment while easing financial pressure on their families.

Mobility and healthcare advocacy intersect

The partnership reflects a growing trend among automotive brands to integrate corporate social responsibility initiatives into broader brand and community programs.
