LG Electronics is expanding its global HVAC Academy network as part of its strategy to strengthen installation, maintenance, and service capabilities across key international markets.
The company has opened new academies and upgraded existing facilities in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East and Africa, reinforcing its technical support infrastructure while investing in the development of local HVAC professionals. The expansion aligns with LG’s broader Global South strategy, which focuses on accelerating growth in emerging markets.
HVAC Academies focus on installation, maintenance, and technical expertise
LG’s HVAC Academies provide technical training covering the installation, maintenance, system design, and servicing of the company’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning products.
Beyond classroom instruction, the facilities offer practical training environments where technicians, distributors, and business partners can gain hands-on experience with LG’s commercial and residential HVAC technologies.
The company says the initiative aims to improve service consistency while building a larger pool of skilled HVAC professionals capable of supporting increasingly complex climate control systems.
New facilities open across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Africa
LG has continued expanding its regional presence throughout 2026.
In Asia, the company recently opened a new HVAC Academy in Taichung, Taiwan, featuring product showrooms, classrooms, and practical training areas. It also relocated and reopened its Singapore HVAC Academy, where visitors can train on commercial HVAC technologies, including LG’s Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) designed for data center cooling.
Across Europe, LG added a new HVAC Academy in Poland, joining its existing network of training centers that provide instruction on air conditioning, heating solutions, and current HVAC industry trends.
In Latin America, LG partnered with Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH) to establish an HVAC Academy inside the university campus. The facility serves both students preparing for HVAC careers and certified technicians seeking additional training.

Meanwhile, in Africa, LG launched a new academy in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, featuring a showroom, technical classrooms, engineering practice areas, and hands-on training spaces for air handling units (AHUs), piping, and control systems.
Nearly 70 academies now operate worldwide
LG now operates approximately 70 HVAC Academies across more than 40 countries, spanning Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America, and Africa.
The company organizes the network through regional hub academies, which develop localized training materials and prepare instructors who can support neighboring countries. This structure allows LG to standardize technical education while adapting content to local market requirements and regulations.
Training supports growing demand for HVAC expertise
As commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and data centers increasingly adopt energy-efficient climate control systems, demand for skilled HVAC technicians continues to rise.
By expanding its training infrastructure, LG aims to improve installation quality, after-sales support, and long-term system reliability while strengthening its position in the global HVAC market. The company says continued investment in technical education will remain a key part of its strategy as it grows its HVAC business in both established and emerging markets.
