GAC Philippines has officially become a member of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), marking another milestone in the automaker’s expansion efforts following its local reorganization earlier this year.
The membership allows GAC to participate in industry discussions alongside other automotive manufacturers, contributing to initiatives involving policy development, industry standards, and the continued growth of the Philippine automotive sector.
Membership follows local business restructuring
The CAMPI membership comes months after GAC International Philippines completed its transition into a wholly owned subsidiary of GAC International in early 2026.
The restructuring also introduced the company’s “ONE GAC” strategy, bringing its GAC MOTOR, AION, and HYPTEC brands under a unified organization. According to the company, the move streamlines operations across sales, aftersales support, parts distribution, and customer service.
GAC says the consolidated structure is intended to improve coordination across its nationwide dealer network while expanding access to its growing lineup of internal combustion and electric vehicles.
Expanding its presence in the Philippines
As part of its local expansion, GAC Philippines now operates a network of 30 dealerships supported by a dedicated parts warehouse and nationwide aftersales services.
The company currently offers warranties of up to five years or 150,000 kilometers for its internal combustion models. Its electric vehicle lineup includes an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty, alongside an eight-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty covering its core electric drive system. New vehicle owners also receive two years of complimentary roadside assistance.
CAMPI adds another major automotive player
CAMPI is one of the country’s largest automotive industry organizations, representing vehicle manufacturers and distributors operating in the Philippines.
With its membership now formalized, GAC Philippines joins other industry players in supporting discussions on automotive policies, standards, and long-term industry development as the local market continues to grow, particularly in the electrified vehicle segment.
