NetEase Games has released the Season 8 Vol. 2 update for Dunk City Dynasty, introducing former NBA All-Star Blake Griffin as its newest playable character while bringing back the fan-favorite Season Journey event.
To celebrate the update, players can redeem the community reward code 5DCDGRIFFIN for in-game rewards.
Blake Griffin joins the roster
The latest update adds Blake Griffin to the NBA-licensed 3v3 street basketball game, bringing his signature athleticism and inside scoring ability to the court.
A six-time NBA All-Star and the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, Griffin is designed as a high-flying power player capable of dominating the paint with explosive finishes and physical play.
Season Journey returns
Following positive player feedback, Season Journey makes its return in Season 8 Vol. 2 and runs until August 18.
The event continues its zero-penalty progression system, allowing players to earn Season Trophies through 11-Point, Ranked, and Classic 3v3 matches without losing trophies after defeats.
Players can unlock milestone rewards throughout the event, while an Energy Pool mechanic offers three times faster trophy acquisition to help participants catch up on seasonal progression.
New cosmetics and limited-time rewards
The latest update also introduces several new cosmetic items and seasonal activities for Dunk City Dynasty.
Players can look forward to the Griffin 13–14 Jersey in the Jersey Shop, the new Pop-up Show Set, limited-time reward events, additional login bonuses, and other seasonal activities.
According to the developers, these additions provide more opportunities for players to earn free rewards, progress through the current season, and customize their Hoopers.
The Season 8 Vol. 2 update is now live for all players, with Dunk City Dynasty available on mobile devices.
