Sharp Philippines unveils new AI-powered TVs, appliances, and future tech at ‘In Step With Your Future’ event

Sharp Philippines introduced its latest lineup of consumer electronics and home appliances during its “In Step With Your Future” Media Conference and Dealers’ Appreciation Night held at Solaire Resort North on May 20.

The Japanese electronics brand used the event to present its updated product strategy, new AI-powered devices, and future technology concepts aimed at the Philippine market. The event also marked the rollout of Sharp’s new global slogan, “In Step With Your Future,” replacing its long-running “Be Original” branding.

The showcase was divided into three segments featuring Sharp’s current products, newly launched devices, and future concepts that may eventually enter the local market.

Sharp shifts focus toward practical innovation and connected living

During the event, Sharp Philippines president Masahiro Akiyoshi emphasized the company’s direction toward practical technology designed around everyday use cases rather than purely technical specifications.

The new brand direction reflects how appliance makers are increasingly integrating AI, connectivity, and energy-efficient features into mainstream household products. Similar trends have also appeared across competing brands in the Philippine market as smart home adoption continues to grow.

Sharp highlighted products focused on home comfort, energy savings, entertainment, and health-oriented technologies.

Sharp expands AQUOS TV lineup with larger screens and gaming features

A major part of the showcase from Sharp centered on its upcoming AQUOS television lineup, including new 4K Google TV models and gaming-focused premium displays.

The upcoming Sharp AQUOS JJ5000X Series will feature 50-inch to 85-inch screen sizes, 4K Google TV support, 120Hz refresh mode via HDMI, Dolby Audio, the V8 Revelation Processor, and a “SUIREN” metal stand design.

Sharp also confirmed the return of its 85-inch AQUOS large-screen category as the brand celebrates the 25th anniversary of AQUOS TVs globally.

Meanwhile, the premium Sharp AQUOS XLED 75-inch QD Mini LED introduces up to 144Hz refresh rate support, FreeSync Premium, Dolby Vision IQ, Dolby Atmos, gaming UI features, and AI-powered picture processing.

The television market in the Philippines has recently shifted toward larger displays and gaming-oriented features, particularly as console gaming and streaming consumption continue to rise.

New Sharp audio products target home entertainment and karaoke users

Sharp also unveiled its latest audio lineup, including the new CS-Series speakers designed with retro-inspired aesthetics and karaoke-focused functionality.

The lineup supports Bluetooth connectivity, TWS pairing, echo and reverb functions, USB playback, and multiple input options.

The company also introduced the Sharp TS-2010P-BK, featuring dual 8-inch woofers and 26,000W PMPO output designed for home entertainment setups.

Karaoke and home audio remain strong categories in the Philippine consumer electronics market, where multifunction speakers continue seeing consistent demand.

Sharp introduces AIoT-enabled air conditioners and smart appliances

Beyond entertainment products, Sharp showcased updates across its appliance lineup, including refrigerators, washing machines, air purifiers, and air conditioners. New appliances include top mount refrigerators with larger freezer capacity, Direct Drive inverter washing machines, the Sharp FX-S82 with AIoT support, and the Sharp AH-XP10DHF.

The upcoming AIoT-enabled air conditioners support remote controls through a mobile app and can automatically adjust cooling performance based on user behavior and room conditions.

Sharp said the air conditioners also feature a 14°C minimum cooling temperature, Super Jet Mode for rapid cooling, humidity optimization, and smart LED indicators.

AI-powered appliance ecosystems have become increasingly common among major electronics brands as companies compete to build connected smart home platforms.

Sharp previews future products for the Philippine market

The third segment of the showcase focused on concept technologies and future products previously shown at international exhibitions such as CEATEC.

While Sharp did not confirm which products will officially launch locally, the preview highlighted the company’s broader direction toward AI-driven, connected, and sustainability-focused technologies.

Sharp has operated in the Philippines since 1982 and continues expanding its presence across the home appliance and consumer electronics categories as competition intensifies among Japanese, Korean, and Chinese brands in the local market.
