The series follows one of the last surviving samurai defending Tsushima during the Mongol invasion. It is directed by Takanobu Mizuno, with scripts by Satoshi Maejima and Gen Urobuchi. Character designs are handled by Takashi Okazaki, while KAMIKAZE DOUGA is producing the animation.
