HoYoverse has announced that Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.1, titled “Unraveled for Daybreak,” will launch on March 25, continuing the story set in Planarcadia while introducing new story developments, activities, and a playable character.
The update centers on a large in-game celebration known as Star Rail FEST, an exposition inspired by the Astral Express Crew’s past adventures. While the festival celebrates the Trailblazer’s journey across the galaxy, the story also hints at conspiracies unfolding beneath the festivities as the Phantasmoon Games continue to escalate.
Star Rail FEST Expands Planarcadia
The festival introduces several themed areas inspired by past destinations visited by the Astral Express. These include the Belobog Zone, Xianzhou Luofu Zone, and Penacony Zone, each recreating memorable events and locations from previous story arcs.
Players can travel across these areas through a special shuttle system while experiencing various attractions and displays. Among the highlights are giant balloon figures depicting Supreme Guardian Cocolia and the Destruction Engine, a recreation of the battle against Lord Ravager Phantylia at Scalegorge Waterscape, and a performance-themed encounter inspired by Robin’s music.
Another major location arriving in Version 4.1 is Pearluxe Tower, the headquarters of Pearluxe Corp, where players can explore new interactive activities and view exhibits such as the “Alloy King Pom-Pom” model.

Ashveil Joins the Playable Roster
Version 4.1 also introduces Ashveil, a new 5-star Lightning character on the Path of The Hunt. Known as the “detective unreliable,” Ashveil plays a key role in the unfolding investigation tied to the Phantasmoon Games.
In combat, Ashveil focuses on tracking a designated enemy target known as “Bait.” When this target is active, enemy defenses are reduced, allowing teammates to deal greater damage. Ashveil can also trigger follow-up attacks whenever allies strike the marked enemy, building stacks of Gluttony to further enhance his damage output.
Outside combat, his exploration technique can stun nearby enemies, giving players an advantage before entering battle.
New Activity: Wispae War Saga
Another new feature arriving in Version 4.1 is the Wispae War Saga, a strategy-focused activity set in Graphia Academy.

In this mode, players command different types of wispae soldiers in tactical battles. By upgrading units and using spell cards and capsules with unique effects, players can defeat powerful academy champions and unlock additional wispae companions.
After clearing the academy challenges, players can also take on stronger opponents in extended matches for additional rewards.
Additional Events and Rewards
Version 4.1 will also include several gameplay updates and reward events. Players will receive 10 free Warp pulls simply by logging in after the update launches.
The Divergent Universe mode will enter a new phase called Arcadian Chronicles, allowing players to explore different areas using Waypoint Pass cards. A new upgrade system called “A Mask of Elation” will also be introduced, offering additional progression rewards.
Meanwhile, returning events such as Planar Fissure and Garden of Plenty will provide double rewards, helping players obtain more Planar Ornaments and upgrade materials.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.1 “Unraveled for Daybreak” launches globally on March 25.
