Future Games Show Spring Showcase Reveals 40+ Games at GDC 2026

More than 40 upcoming titles were featured during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2026 and the accompanying FGS Live From GDC 2026, which aired on March 12 as part of Game Developers Conference 2026 in San Francisco.

Hosted by Devora Wilde and Shai Matheson, the showcase highlighted a mix of AAA and indie games through trailers, gameplay reveals, release dates, and world premieres.

Below is a roundup of the major announcements from the show.

Major World Premieres and Reveals

The event opened with the reveal of Cordura, a co-operative psychological horror game featuring mimicry and sanity mechanics. The title is currently planned for PC and PlayStation platforms.

Another classic returning to modern platforms is The 7th Guest Remake, a full remake of the 1993 puzzle-adventure game that will feature live-action performances and updated visuals for PC and consoles.

The showcase also introduced ReVamp, the next project from the creators of Moonlighter. Described as a “Tower Defense-Vania,” the game tasks players with defending Dracula’s throne using modular fortress upgrades.

New Trailers and Gameplay Updates

Several upcoming titles returned with new trailers or gameplay footage.

Stupid Never Dies showed off fresh gameplay for its zombie-themed body-hacking RPG, while Project Shadowglass highlighted its “3D pixel art” style in a medieval RPG inspired by immersive sim classics like Thief and Deus Ex.

The atmospheric action-adventure CALX also appeared with a gameplay showcase. The game is set to release on PC on June 4, with console versions arriving later in 2026.

Meanwhile, Blight: Survival received a deeper look during the show’s “Ones to Watch” segment, highlighting its PvE medieval horror gameplay with solo and cooperative play.

Expansions and Returning Franchises

The event also brought updates to existing games.

Dave the Diver will receive a new expansion titled Dave the Diver: In the Jungle, launching on June 18 with a freshwater biome, new restaurant content, and additional tools.

Tactical shooter Ready or Not introduced its Boiling Point expansion, which adds new missions and cosmetics for players.

Meanwhile, the classic strategy title Defender of the Crown returns with Defender of the Crown: The Legend Returns, a remastered and reimagined version scheduled for release in 2026.

Notable Indie Highlights

The showcase also placed the spotlight on several indie titles.

Adorable Adventures follows a baby boar named Boris on a journey to reunite with its family, launching April 30 on PC and consoles.

Unboxing Mr. Coo, a surreal hand-drawn adventure from developer Nacho Rodriguez, will offer a wordless narrative told entirely through animation.

Meanwhile, Clean Up Earth mixes cooperative gameplay with environmental awareness, allowing up to 25 players to clean beaches while contributing to real-world recycling efforts.

Horror, VR, and Narrative Adventures

Several atmospheric and horror-focused games also made appearances.

Directive 8020, the next entry in The Dark Pictures Anthology from Supermassive Games, showed off multiplayer features ahead of its May 12 release.

Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes was revealed for PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest, and SteamVR with a launch date set for April 24, 2026.

Other narrative-driven titles showcased included Hello Sunshine, Silver Pines, and the musical mystery adventure There Are No Ghosts at the Grand.

A montage segment also featured indie projects Anarchy Road, DAMON and BABY, AstroTechs, and Demon Lord: Just a Block.

With dozens of announcements spanning horror, RPGs, simulators, and experimental indie titles, the Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2026 once again delivered a broad look at upcoming releases across PC and console platforms.
