This edition combines a Stellar White finish with MLG design elements and a bundled set of gaming accessories. MSI says the laptop is intended for gamers who prefer a white chassis, as well as content creators who require multi-core performance. The edition introduces LOONG:NIA, also known as MLG, a dragon-inspired original character whose story centers on courage, creativity and overcoming limits.
Performance and cooling
The laptop is powered by up to an AMD Ryzen™ 9 8940HX processor with up to 16 cores and 32 threads, alongside up to an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5070 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR7 memory. MSI OverBoost Technology enables up to 190W of total CPU and GPU power output, according to the company.
MSI also says its Cooler Boost thermal system uses dual fans, five heat pipes and four exhaust vents. The company describes the design as supporting stable performance under heavy workloads. The release also lists support for NVIDIA® RTX™ technologies, including DLSS 4.5, full ray tracing, neural rendering and AI-enhanced performance features.
For gaming and content work, the Crosshair laptop has a 16-inch QHD+ display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 typical color coverage. MSI says the display is designed to provide fluid motion for competitive AAA gaming and vivid visuals for content creation.
Design, memory and connectivity
The laptop uses a pearl-like Stellar White finish with a flame-red sheen that changes under different lighting angles. Its custom details include the Crosshair signature, MLG icon, Dragon Shield, white keyboard styling, tuned four-zone RGB lighting and red rubber feet.
The system supports DDR5 memory through two slots, with capacity up to 96GB. Storage support includes PCIe Gen4 and Gen5 options with SuperRAID 5.
