Lenovo has announced the Tab Plus Gen 2 for the Philippines, positioning the Android tablet around a large display, an integrated nine-speaker audio system and a rotating kickstand rather than just its internal specifications. It is scheduled to reach the local market on October 28, 2026, with a suggested retail price of PHP 25,995.
The announcement matters for buyers looking at a tablet intended for shared or room-filling media use: Lenovo is pairing a 12.1-inch, 2.5K LCD panel with JBL-engineered speakers and Dolby-branded audio and video technologies.
Audio and display are the central hardware changes

Lenovo says the tablet uses a JBL 9-unit Pro speaker system with dedicated bass units and Dolby Atmos support. It also has a Bluetooth speaker mode, which Lenovo says lets users play and control music or podcasts from a phone through the tablet. Dolby Audio processing offers Dynamic, Movie and Music modes.
The display is specified at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, with a 120Hz refresh rate and 249ppi pixel density. Lenovo lists Dolby Vision and HDR10 support, plus up to 800 nits in High Brightness Mode. The company says that mode is designed to help maintain clarity when the device is used outdoors in direct sunlight.
The Tab Plus Gen 2 measures 278.8mm by 181.1mm by 6.8mm, although Lenovo lists a 22.7mm measurement at its speaker bump. It weighs about 775g. Its built-in 360-degree rotating kickstand supports portrait and landscape orientations, with lean, theater, stand and hanging positions named by Lenovo. A standby mode can display photos as a digital picture frame.
Dimensity chip, Android 16 and AI tools

The tablet is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 octa-core processor and launches with Android 16. Lenovo says it expects to provide two OS upgrades, through Android 18, and four years of security patches through 2030. Listed configurations are 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB, with microSD expansion of up to 2TB.
Other listed hardware includes an 8MP fixed-focus front camera, 13MP autofocus rear camera, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C 2.0 and a 10,200mAh typical-capacity battery. Lenovo claims up to 15 hours of YouTube video streaming based on internal testing under optimal laboratory and network conditions, and notes that actual battery performance varies. Charging tops out at 45W and requires a compatible USB Power Delivery charger with at least 45W output, sold separately.
Lenovo also lists AI Live Transcript with real-time translation support for more than 40 languages. Free use is limited to two hours daily, with further use subject to availability through in-app purchases. Lenovo Smarter Reader and AI Notes with Lenovo Notepad are also included.
Philippine pricing and launch promotion
The Tab Plus Gen 2 will be sold in Celestial White in the Philippines starting October 28. Lenovo lists the Tab Pen Plus, Wireless Keyboard and 68W USB-C Wall Charger as compatible accessories sold separately; a carrying sleeve with shoulder strap is also described for the device.
From October 28 to November 15, 2026, or while supplies last, Lenovo says buyers of model ZAHT0249PH at participating MemoXpress, Joneco, Robinsons Appliances, Thinking Tools, Inc. and Shiritori branches can receive launch freebies. The first three buyers receive a Lenovo Tab One; buyers ranked fourth through sixth receive PHP 3,000 vouchers, seventh through 11th receive PHP 2,000 vouchers, and 12th through 20th receive PHP 1,000 vouchers. Lenovo says redemption is limited to once per customer at each participating store. Full terms and branch details are available in Lenovo’s promotion post.
