LG commercial laundry expansion takes focus at Expodetergo

LG Electronics says it is using EXPODETERGO INTERNATIONAL 2026 in Milan to present a commercial laundry range and connected-management tools as it seeks to grow its European business-to-business operations. The LG commercial laundry expansion covers semi-commercial and professional equipment, with the company highlighting mass-produced Professional Laundry models and a Wet Cleaning solution for Europe. The trade fair runs from October 23 to 26, according to LG.

The release separately says LG is strengthening distribution partnerships in Asian markets including the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Its exhibition announcement, however, focuses on European B2B partners and operations. LG also says it has increased supply to North American operators CSC ServiceWorks and WASH.

Professional Laundry Technologies and Wet Cleaning

LG says its Professional Laundry lineup incorporates AI Weight Detection, which detects load size and adjusts water use accordingly. It also includes the Dynamic Ball-Core System. LG describes that system as combining a built-in gyro sensor that detects real-time drum imbalances with a ball balancer intended to stabilize the load and help minimize vibrations. The company’s footnote cites internal lab tests using a 25 kg capacity model, where average drum vibration during a cycle was 1.662 mm with a 10 kg load. LG says results may vary with use conditions and environment.

LG’s Wet Cleaning solution uses water and specially formulated detergents as an alternative to conventional dry-cleaning methods, according to the release. LG says the approach is designed to care for delicate garments while managing risks including shrinkage, color transfer and texture changes. Its MotionCare technology combines gentle washing with low-temperature drying, while the company says precise drum movements help mitigate fabric damage risk.

Connected Management and System Integration

LG is also presenting the LG LaundryCrew app and Open API as connected management solutions. The company says LaundryCrew lets owners and users remotely monitor and manage connected laundry equipment. Open API, it says, can connect supported equipment data with existing business systems through a separate system development process. Integration is not provided as standard and is initiated after product purchase, according to LG’s footnote. This part of the LG commercial laundry expansion is presented as a way for B2B customers to build tailored management platforms.

LG says the combination of equipment with remote monitoring, management and performance-tracking capabilities is intended to provide greater operational flexibility and support more efficient day-to-day management. The company frames those capabilities as tools for business customers.

European Distributor Plans

LG says it is building its European commercial laundry business on distributor relationships in the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Hungary. In August 2026, it secured a B2B order from SCHILLING Wäschereitechnik GmbH, a Germany-based distributor specializing in professional laundry and ironing equipment. LG says deliveries of its semi-commercial and Professional Laundry products to Schilling are already underway. The LG commercial laundry expansion will also involve, according to the company, efforts to strengthen existing distributor relationships and develop new dealer partnerships across Europe.

“EXPODETERGO INTERNATIONAL provides an important opportunity to showcase LG’s full commercial laundry portfolio and connected management solutions to European business partners,” said Baek Seung-tae, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company. LG says it will use the event to connect with prospective partners and explore additional business opportunities in the region.
