As students prepare for the new school year, HUAWEI is rolling out back-to-school promotions and new devices aimed at boosting productivity in and outside the classroom.
The company announced special offers for its MatePad Family and the HUAWEI nova Y74 while also opening pre-orders for the upcoming HUAWEI MatePad Mini. HUAWEI also introduced new campus initiatives to connect with students through ambassador programs and university roadshows.
HUAWEI highlights MatePad Family for student productivity
The HUAWEI MatePad Family consists of the MatePad Pro, MatePad 12 X 2026, MatePad 11.5 S 2026, and MatePad 11.5. HUAWEI positions the lineup as PC-like tablets designed to support studying, content creation, collaboration, and multitasking.
Each tablet supports a 4-in-1 setup that combines the device with a Smart Magnetic Keyboard, Bluetooth mouse, and HUAWEI M-Pencil, allowing students to transition between note-taking, document editing, presentations, and creative work.
The lineup also features HUAWEI’s Ultra-Clear PaperMatte Display, designed to reduce glare while delivering a paper-like writing and reading experience for digital notes and research materials.
AI-powered tools support academic work
HUAWEI also emphasized AI-powered productivity features through PC-Level WPS Office 3.0.
Students can use Smart Create to generate documents from prompts, convert reports into presentation slides, summarize lengthy readings, and automate spreadsheet tasks using AI Sheet Assistant and Batch Processor.
The MatePad Family also supports widely used productivity platforms such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Grammarly, Jupyter, Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, allowing students to work across different academic environments without switching devices.
Creative applications including GoPaint and Canva are also available for design and visual projects.
Campus ambassadors and university roadshows
HUAWEI is expanding its engagement with students through the HUAWEI Campus Ambassadors Program across universities in Metro Manila.
The initiative will feature student ambassadors sharing real-world experiences using the MatePad Family for studying, internships, campus organizations, and creative projects.
The company also plans to launch interactive university roadshows where students can experience the MatePad lineup through hands-on demonstrations and productivity-focused activities.
Back-to-school bundles begin July 7
Starting July 7, senior high school and college students can take advantage of exclusive bundle offers on eligible HUAWEI MatePad models.
Qualified purchases come with a 4-in-1 accessory bundle that includes the HUAWEI M-Pencil, Smart Keyboard, mouse, and WPS Office, with a combined value of ₱21,896. Students will also receive a one-year WPS AI Membership worth ₱7,000, a free bag valued at ₱1,990, and a surprise gift.
The promotion is designed to provide students with a more complete productivity setup by pairing the tablet with accessories and software commonly used for note-taking, document editing, research, and other academic tasks.
HUAWEI MatePad Mini now available for pre-order
HUAWEI also opened pre-orders for the new HUAWEI MatePad Mini beginning July 1.
The compact tablet features an 8.8-inch Flexible OLED PaperMatte Display, weighs just 260 grams, and measures only 5.2 mm thick, making it suitable for users who prioritize portability without sacrificing screen quality.
Customers who pre-order the MatePad Mini will receive a complimentary HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro worth ₱7,999, a MatePad Mini Flip Cover valued at ₱3,499, PC-level WPS Office, a one-time free battery replacement within three years, and a one-year PaperMatte Display Care package that covers two claims and is worth ₱2,999.
The pre-order bundle is designed to enhance the tablet’s productivity and long-term value by combining essential accessories, software, and after-sales support for students and professionals alike.
HUAWEI nova Y74 joins back-to-school lineup
HUAWEI also introduced promotional offers for the HUAWEI nova Y74, a smartphone aimed at students who prioritize long battery life and durability.
The device is equipped with a 6,620mAh battery that supports 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo. According to HUAWEI, it can deliver up to 30.6 hours of local video playback, 24.9 hours of online video streaming, 59.3 hours of online music playback, and 48.1 hours of continuous calling on a single charge.
The nova Y74 also features a 6.67-inch EyeEase Display, AI Smart Control shortcuts, drop resistance of up to 1.8 meters, pressure resistance of up to 65 kilograms, and the ability to operate in temperatures as low as -20°C, making it suitable for everyday student use.
Starting July 1, customers purchasing through the HUAWEI Online Store and HUAWEI’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop can purchase the nova Y74 for a promotional price of ₱14,999, down from its suggested retail price of ₱15,999. Buyers can also claim a ₱300 early bird voucher.
According to HUAWEI, the promotions are part of its back-to-school campaign, which aims to provide students with devices that support productivity, collaboration, and everyday campus life.
