HUAWEI has officially introduced the HUAWEI Pura 90s Series and the new HUAWEI MatePad Air during its Flagship Product Global Launch Event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with both devices confirmed to arrive in the Philippines soon.
Leading the launch was the Pura 90s Series, HUAWEI’s latest flagship smartphone lineup that combines upgraded imaging hardware with new AI-powered photography tools. The company also unveiled the MatePad Air, a lightweight productivity tablet designed for creators, students, and professionals.
HUAWEI Pura 90s Series raises the bar for smartphone imaging
Positioned as HUAWEI’s new “King of Imaging,” the Pura 90s Series introduces a refreshed design alongside significant camera upgrades aimed at elevating mobile photography.
The flagship lineup features a 200MP Ultra Large Sensor Telephoto Camera, an Ultra Lighting HDR Camera, and a second-generation True-to-Colour Camera, complemented by HUAWEI’s latest imaging technologies to capture detailed photos and videos across various lighting conditions.
Whether photographing distant landscapes, close-up subjects, nighttime scenes, or backlit portraits, the company says the Pura 90s Series is built to deliver improved clarity, color accuracy, and dynamic range.
Beyond hardware improvements, the smartphones integrate several AI-powered photography tools designed to simplify editing and enhance image quality.

Among the new features are AI Composition, which offers intelligent framing suggestions; AI Move, allowing users to reposition or resize objects within photos; AI De-Glare, which reduces unwanted reflections; AI Best Expression for improving group portraits; and AI Remove, which removes distracting objects from images.
Together, these AI capabilities aim to help users create professional-looking photos with minimal effort.
New design inspired by the “Rhythm of Colour”
The Pura 90s Series also introduces HUAWEI’s Rhythm of Colour design philosophy, combining clean lines with layered color finishes for a distinctive look.
Highlighting the design is what HUAWEI describes as the industry’s first Dual-Tone Gradient Mid-Frame, giving the flagship smartphones a unique visual identity while maintaining a premium aesthetic.
HUAWEI MatePad Air focuses on creativity and productivity
Joining the smartphone lineup is the new HUAWEI MatePad Air, which features a slim 5.3mm profile and an Ultra-clear OLED PaperMatte Display designed to reduce glare while maintaining vibrant colors and sharp visuals.

The tablet is built to support work, learning, content creation, and entertainment, offering PC-like productivity features in a lightweight form factor.
HUAWEI has also equipped the MatePad Air with AI-powered productivity tools that help users create documents, develop ideas, and manage tasks more efficiently.
Coming to the Philippines soon
HUAWEI confirmed that the Pura 90s Series will launch in the Philippines this August, while the HUAWEI MatePad Air is also expected to arrive in the local market soon.
The company has yet to announce Philippine pricing and availability but said more details will be revealed closer to launch.
