The film, which serves as the opening chapter of a planned three-part cinematic finale, will stream in most regions worldwide except Japan and Mainland China. It will become available at 8:00 a.m. PT in both its original Japanese audio with subtitles and multiple dubbed language options.
First chapter of Demon Slayer’s final battle
Infinity Castle I adapts the beginning of the franchise’s climactic story arc, where Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps launch their final confrontation against Muzan Kibutsuji.
Following the events of the Hashira Training Arc, Muzan attacks the Ubuyashiki Mansion, drawing Tanjiro, the Hashira, and the Demon Slayer Corps into the demons’ stronghold known as the Infinity Castle, setting the stage for the series’ concluding conflict.
The film is directed by Haruo Sotozaki, with animation produced by ufotable, adapting the manga by Koyoharu Gotoge.
Multiple languages available at launch
Crunchyroll confirmed that the film will be available in Japanese with English subtitles, as well as an English dub.
Additional dubbed languages include Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Catalan, Russian, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, and Polish voice-over.
Subtitles will also be offered in multiple languages, including Indonesian, Vietnamese, Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, Russian, German, French, and Italian.
Digital purchase also begins July 28
In select markets, including North America, the film will also be available for digital purchase starting July 28.
According to Crunchyroll, supported platforms include Apple TV, Prime Video, Google Play, YouTube, and Fandango.
Pre-orders for digital purchases opened on July 4 in supported territories.
Crunchyroll expands the Demon Slayer library
Ahead of the streaming debut of Infinity Castle I, Crunchyroll continues to host several entries in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise, including Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -Orchestra Concert-, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ON STAGE.
Infinity Castle I also arrives with significant awards recognition, earning nominations for Best Motion Picture – Animated at the Golden Globe Awards and Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures from the Producers Guild of America, while also securing a place on the BAFTA Awards longlist for Best Animated Film.
As the first installment of the Infinity Castle trilogy, the film begins the anime adaptation’s final arc, bringing Tanjiro Kamado’s journey toward its long-awaited conclusion when it arrives on Crunchyroll later this month.
