The Philippine automotive industry is set for a major showcase as the 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) returns from June 4 to 7 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila in Pasay City.
Organized by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI), this year’s milestone edition carries the theme “Forward in Every Drive,” emphasizing the industry’s transition toward electrification, smarter mobility systems, and more sustainable transportation solutions.
A Wider Automotive Lineup Signals a More Competitive Market
PIMS 2026 brings together 17 automotive exhibitors, featuring both long-standing brands and newer entrants in the Philippine market.
Confirmed participants include Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Honda, Isuzu; Kia, Suzuki, MG, Geely, Chery, Foton, BAIC; Jetour, Subaru, Omoda & Jaecoo; as well as VinFast and Tesla.
The expanded lineup reflects increasing competition in the local automotive space, particularly as Chinese and electric vehicle brands continue to scale their presence alongside established Japanese and Korean manufacturers.
New Exhibitors Highlight Growing Global EV Influence
Several brands will make their first appearance at PIMS, including BAIC, Omoda & Jaecoo, Subaru, Tesla, and VinFast.
Their debut underscores a broader shift in the Philippine auto industry, where global EV and hybrid manufacturers are actively entering emerging Southeast Asian markets. These brands will showcase new mobility platforms and electrified models tailored for urban driving conditions.
Electrification Takes Center Stage at PIMS 2026
One of the biggest highlights this year at the PIMS 2026 is the strong push toward electrified mobility. More than 50% of displayed and test-drive vehicles will feature hybrid or fully electric powertrains, signaling accelerating demand for fuel-efficient and low-emission vehicles in the Philippines.
The event will also showcase hybrid and fully electric vehicle platforms, energy-efficient mobility solutions, connectivity and safety technologies, and emerging EV infrastructure concepts.
This reflects how automakers are adapting to stricter environmental targets and changing consumer preferences.
Immersive Displays, Test Drives, and Lifestyle Zones
Beyond vehicle launches, PIMS 2026 is expanding its focus on interactive experiences.
Visitors can expect immersive brand showcases and concept booths, hands-on access to vehicle interiors and tech features, test drive opportunities across multiple brands, and expanded aftermarket and car lifestyle zones.
The aftermarket section will feature accessories, performance upgrades, car care products, and customization tools, catering to automotive enthusiasts and hobbyists.
Community, Partnerships, and Event-Only Offers
PIMS 2026 will also bring together car clubs and automotive communities, reinforcing its role as a gathering point for local car culture. Attendees can also expect exclusive promos and event-only discounts, freebies, collectibles, brand merchandise, and interactive booth activities with giveaways.
Key partners for this year include BPI and Motul, supporting the event’s push toward innovation and mobility development.
Tickets for PIMS 2026 are available via pims.helixpay.ph and onsite at the venue. Online pricing is set at ₱150 for regular tickets and ₱120 for senior citizens and PWDs, with a bundle promo of ₱750 for a 5+1 ticket offer. With rising EV adoption, new brand entries, and expanding consumer interest in sustainable mobility, the PIMS 2026 positions itself as a key indicator of where the Philippine automotive market is heading next.
