vivo brings back 3×3 basketball tournament for Year 4 in the Philippines

vivo Philippines has officially opened registration for the vivo 3×3 Basketball Challenge Year 4, expanding its grassroots sports program with a new season of regional competitions across Luzon. The tournament is open to Filipino citizens aged 19 and above.

Teams composed of three to four players can now register online as vivo continues its push to connect sports, community engagement, and brand activations in the local market.

Tournament structure expands across Luzon qualifying stops

The Year 4 edition of the vivo 3×3 Basketball Challenge will feature multiple regional qualifiers leading to a national championship round.

This year’s qualifying stops include Market! Market! on May 31, Ayala Malls Feliz on June 19, SM City Clark on June 27, and SM City Fairview on July 4.

At each stop, eight teams will be divided into groups and compete in a round-robin format. The top performers will advance to knockout rounds, with finalists securing spots in the championship stage.

Grand finals set at SM Mall of Asia in July

The competition will culminate in the grand finals at SM Mall of Asia on July 11–12, where top teams from each qualifier will battle for the title.

vivo is positioning the tournament as more than just a competition, framing it as a platform for local athletes to gain exposure and experience through structured 3×3 basketball play.

As part of its broader sports marketing strategy, vivo continues to highlight its role as the official smartphone partner of the NBA. The company has consistently used basketball-driven initiatives to promote active lifestyles and community engagement in the Philippines.

The brand said the tournament aims to support grassroots basketball development while encouraging participation in organized 3×3 competitions nationwide.
