Kia EV5 debuts at MIAS 2026, brings versatile electric SUV to PH

A new chapter in electrified mobility takes center stage as Kia Philippines unveils the Kia EV5 at the Manila International Auto Show 2026.

Built around Kia’s “Opposites United” philosophy, the EV5 blends futuristic styling with everyday functionality. It features a bold Digital Tiger Nose grille, Star Map LED lighting, and a sleek aerodynamic profile, complemented by 18-inch alloy wheels and an optional sunroof for an enhanced driving experience.

Inside, the EV5 prioritizes comfort and connectivity with a dual 12.3-inch display setup, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a spacious cabin layout designed for both daily commutes and long drives.

Smart features meet top-tier safety

Kia equips the EV5 with its Drive Wise suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance, and Blind Spot Monitoring. The model also holds a 5-star safety rating from the Australian NCAP, reinforcing its reliability across all variants.

Additional features such as Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, multi-collision braking, and stability control systems ensure both convenience and peace of mind on the road.

Strong electric performance and range

Built on a dedicated EV platform, the EV5 delivers 217 PS and 310 Nm of torque across two variants:

  • GLS variant: 88.1 kWh battery with up to 550 km range
  • GL variant: 64.2 kWh battery with up to 400 km range

This flexibility allows drivers to choose between extended range capability or a more practical daily setup without sacrificing performance.

Built for the shift to electric

Backed by ACMobility, the EV5 integrates into the growing Philippine EV ecosystem, including access to the nationwide charging network.

Customers also receive a home charging package with installation support and charging credits, easing the transition to electric ownership.

Pricing and availability

The Kia EV5 starts at ₱2,298,000 for the GL variant, while the GLS variant is priced at ₱2,698,000. Both come with an 8-year battery warranty and a 5-year vehicle warranty.
